Hello everyone! πŸ’›
Hope you are having a great start of a new week! 😊

Today is going to be a little different kind of post because on Sunday I attended the wedding of one of my friends and even if I didn't do this in the last 20 years or so, it was something that I couldn't be missing especially that it's the first girl that makes this step from my small group of friends.

The funny part is that this girl is the youngest out of all of us, but when there is love and you feel that you met the right one, it's impossible not to make this step sooner or later. However, they were in a relationship for around 8 years or so, so it's definitely not too early for them.

The beautiful event wasn't held in the city as most people would expect, but due to having their parents and most of the relatives living on the countryside, they thought about finding a place which is somewhere between the two. Nothing wrong with it, but when you do such decisions it's a little bit hard for some to attend the wedding especially if they don't have a car to drive until there because taking a taxi for around 20 km is not that cheap.

Happily, we managed to find a solution and reached the restaurant right in time to explore some of the surroundings while there was still light outside, and we had a great surprise to see that everything was arranged and thought to the smallest detail, which is something that personally I wouldn't expect to see especially after a few conversations with my friends (the bride) that was quite reserved when it came to the location they decided to rent for the wedding party.

There was a little lake with lots of ducks on it and a bridge that became popular for most of the guests in search of taking one of those famous pictures from a wedding. There was actually a lot of green in the background which made me feel closer to nature that was a great feeling, especially since I didn't get the chance to travel too much this year.

After we all made sure we have enough pictures to pick from, we were welcomed into the restaurant and then led to the table reserved for us.

Among the most popular places there was also the candy bar which resisted only around 1 hour before it was completely empty, but with so much colour and sweets, it's hard to resist the temptation and walk back to the table with just 2-3 pieces of cake!

Anyway, as tiny the whole restaurant seemed from the outside, as nicely everything was arranged with tables of 10 seats each and a decent space where to dance and see all the other events of the night. The table of the wedding pair was in the middle and I love how many flowers surrounded this one.

The food was quite basic with nothing too wow, but personally, I prefer these instead of the atypical cuisine where it's a surprise every single bite you take, lol.

Though, except for the fish which I didn't even taste because I'm not a fan of this kind of food, I managed to eat a little of everything which made me keep going until the party almost ended.

A thing that I appreciated is that the party wasn't all resumed to either eating or dancing, but also interrupted by some small games like answering to questions about whom between the 2 lovers is most likely to do something, but also more dancing types like a gypsy one, another one for the couples of the party, and so on.

Personally, I'm not up to date about the popular traditions of each wedding because I haven't attended one since I was very young and they are also quite different from a region to another of the country, but some of the most waited moments are always the wedding waltz and the moment of cutting the cake.

Anyway, if you are asking me, I always have mixed feelings when it comes to weddings because there are very few ones who do this step because they feel like their relationship will last forever, while the event turned into sort of a deal where you gather hundreds of guests for the sake of getting enough money to start a business or get a new place where to live, but the one I attended I'm sure is amongst these that will last for a lifetime due to the chemistry between my friend and her actual husband which is so unique.

How much do you enjoy attending weddings?

Yeah, it was a cool background for sure. However, wedding parties evolved so much lately that you can attend one anywhere from the beach to the mountains and so on. What matters the most is to have that love last forever though :)
