My Hawker's food journey this past week!

Some say that the cost of living here in Singapore is getting more and more expensive as time goes on. I won't disagree with that because I also feel how difficult it is to budget money for my expenses. Rent is one of the most costly, which is why other parts of my lifestyle are being sacrificed.

Fortunately, there are hawker foods that are somehow still affordable. I only eat hawker food daily because my budget is insufficient when I eat at restaurants. These are the highlights of my Hawker food journey this past week.

Economic Beehoon

It's called "economic" for a reason. This is the most affordable food I can get from a food place. This kind of hawker food offers a variety of noodles and toppings that I can mix and match. The value for the quantity that I get is mind-blowing as I compare the prices of other food stalls.

Teochew Rice

Here's a usual plate that I usually pick for my lunch; there's meat, vegetables, and rice too. I often pick the stir-fried broccoli because it was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. This time I tried this pizza-shaped scrambled egg. The flavor taste interesting because they added salted egg into the mix. That combination worked really well my preference.

Fishball soup with rice

I usually go to this place for a noodle dish however, they ran out of handmade noodles when I went so I just replaced them with rice. This combination is perfect for me that's why I might choose this the next time I eat at this place.

Teochew rice again!

The main reason why I often go to a Teochew food place is that there are many choices of ready-to-eat dishes. When I don't know what I want to eat for my lunch, I go here because it becomes easy to choose my food at that moment.

They have stir-fried dishes, fried, steamed, stewed, and soup too!
