My first time trying KK Western’s Pork Chop
I’ve seen this stall a few weeks back but I never had a chance to try it since I often go to 88 Western Cuisine for a meal of chicken chop or pork chop. Tonight, my go-to western food stall is already closed so I decided to try KK Western and order one of their dishes, the Pork Chop. This is the protein that’s more difficult to get right compared to chicken chop. Undercooking it will be risky for the consumer but overcooking it will turn the protein tough and dry. The temperature has to be perfect in order to achieve a satisfactory result.
This set is supposed to have a slice of toasted bread but according to the owner they already ran out of it so they offered to add more french fries instead. I didn’t think twice so I simply said yes because I feel like an extra french fries is a better alternative.
They relatively new here in Golden Mile Food Centre so this will be my first time to try their recipe. From the look of it, everything is standard except for the sauce. The pork chop, coleslaw, beans, & french fries look the same as the other western food stalls. The only difference is the gravy that was poured over the pork chop.
There’s a generous serving of sauce which I can’t finish all but it’s quite tasty 😋. I didn’t even need ketchup or hot sauce for the french fries because the gravy is sufficient enough.
The only noticeable issue with the pork chop is that it’s more on the dry or tough side. I think it was over cooked or it was already pre-cooked and was simply warmed up.
