I found the "best affordable" pork chop at Ivan's Carbina
I seldom go for pork chop unless I dine at a place that I trust. It's easy to mess up the grilling of pork chop that's why I'm hesitant to order to places that I have never tried before.
Ivan's Carbina captured my attention when I ordered their Chicken Chop. I think they did a great job in grilling the chicken to perfection. So, for today, I also wanted to try their Pork Chop and see if it can be compared to restaurants that put a high price on their food.
Let me start with the buttered rice. I'm a fan of their recipe. I'm not sure how they managed to create a buttered rice that doesn't taste like margarine... it's because they use the real thing. There's no weird color or taste that's why I always go for this option.
There's nothing special about the salad other than its sauce. I like the simplicity of the salad and the sauce that they put is the right amount. It's a healthy salad :)
The mushroom sauce is also good. I think they perfected their recipe and so it also tastes good with a pork chop. This was my special request, to use mushroom sauce instead of the black pepper sauce. On my next visit, I will try the pork chop in black pepper sauce as well.
Lastly, the pork chop is something that I will have to order on my next visit. It has the right balance of meat and fat. It's tender and it also has a nice sear on it. The serving is also generous enough for me to think it's worth it for its price of S$8.90!
There's a good reason why I keep coming back to Iva's Carbina, it's simple; the food is good!
