Exploring Woodlands' fun-food fair

A while ago, I passed by the Woodlands area and noticed a huge white tent from a distance. This is one of the fairs that usually pops out whenever there is an upcoming holiday celebration. The theme right now is the Chinese New Year!

I like these kinds of fun fairs because they offer different products than what I can usually find at hawker centers and even the ones at the mall. They may only last for a few weeks or a month but they do leave some good memories to the goers of these fairs.

One of my favorite foods that I go for is Shawarma. I usually go for the Kebab wrap because it's freshly grilled and the wrap is also made fresh. The sauce makes this food unique. I have not tried an authentic shawarma yet but this one tastes good.

Thai Milk tea is also one of the popular choices of this fair. They usually showcase the drinks in huge containers like these.

This stall usually goes in front of the fair, the orange version is my favorite among all the selections. The green version is also nice.

The types of dishes that are often served in these fairs are fritters or deep-fried stuff. I wouldn't care about having one of these calorie-rich or high-fat foods once in a while. It tastes good!

Takoyaki is one of my go-to fried foods from this fair. Another one to consider trying is deep-fried Churros.

Fresh fruits are one of the good choices from this fair too. I noticed that some of the fruits are not the ones that I see from a typical fruit section in groceries. I saw oranges that were twice as big as the usual ones.

Of course, the fair is not going to be fun without the games!

That's a large market! The vendors with all the red decos looks pretty awesome. Reminds me of shopping the saturday market in the Chinese community in my city. I used to find the cutest decos. looks like there is no shortage of entertainement for both the little and large kids with all the games! Thanks for sharing your experience.
