Enjoying a nice Japanese-style pastries by Kaze

I know for sure that France is a place where the best desserts or pastries were invented and the Eclair is one of them. Many will agree with me about that otherwise there won't be other versions of it being re-interpreted by other food cultures. A few days back, I had the pleasure to experience a Japanese-style cream puff and eclair at Kaze.

The fundamentals of the pastry are there but then they infused a Japanese flavor into the filling of the shells. I noticed that there are 2 layers for the shell or bread itself, a plain bread layer and it is topped with a coating that is crunchy and a little sweet. These 2 layers are the ones responsible is encasing the creamy filling in place.

There are plenty of other types of desserts and pastries that they offer but I'm mostly interested in the cream puff and eclair.

These 2 types of pastries are probably the ones that I would say as my favorites.

I think that cream puffs and eclairs are designed in such a way that is convenient to eat. I don't intend to compare it to other food but these 2 pastries are like the burger and hotdog in a bun in a savory side of food. It's good and easy to munch on.

I only ordered one of each and the flavors that I chose were Hokkaido Milk for the cream puff and Matcha cream for the eclair. The Hokkaido Milk was my favorite because it's the purest of flavor while the Matcha has bitterness in it that I don't find suiting my taste preference.

I think Kaze is doing great with the desserts that they make. It's more on the expensive side but it is a worthy experience considering the quality of the pastries. I will come back once more to try the other types of pastries that they offer.
