Dry Wanton Noodles by Makan Matters!
The diversity of local food here in the city of Singapore is something that gives me the excitement to explore. To be able to try the different flavors from cuisines like Chinese, Indian, and Malay allows me to expand my horizon about my appreciation for food. The simplicity and creativity of Chinese food give my soul a comfort that I will treasure for life. The unforgettable flavor combination of the spices of Indian cuisine gives me excitement each time I take a bite. While the richness of the Malay food allows me to remember a part of my childhood and my grandmother's cooking.
There are plenty of selections that can be found in every corner of the city.
Earlier today, I went to a food place that offers a variety of food that is inspired by or are remake of the popular dishes of Chinese cuisine and Malay cuisine.
This afternoon, I ordered the Dry Wanton Noodles!

For S$4, I'm quite surprised by the satisfying generous serving of the toppings. I also like this type of noodle which is thin, slender, and springy.

There are plenty of types of noodles and people have varying opinions or preferences about the types of noodles that they prefer. I often choose the thin type of noodles because it feels easier to eat or chew. I also think that it soaks the sauce just enough to satisfy me.
This dish has char siew, vegetables, shallots, and wanton with soup.

Aside from the savory meals, they also offer snacks like traditional Kueh or rice cakes. The colors looks enticing and yummy!

I think I found a good spot for me to have my snack during my tea break. Yay!

My journey to the world of food.

I would have poured the soup on top of the noodles and now I have a Ramen xD
Haha, that sounds like a delicious twist! A Ramen fusion would definitely be interesting. Maybe I'll try that next time. Thanks for the idea! 😄🍜
