There's a particular dish that may not sound appetizing but I can assure you that it's a delicious food to try, it's called the Fish Head noodle soup. It's what the name suggests...

Here's what the fish head looks like in the dish. Some people may freak out as they scoop the content of the dish without knowing what it is but for me, it's perfectly fine. It doesn't look appetizing but if you are adventurous enough and you can get past the looks then you may enjoy the nice meat out of this fish head.

Aside from the fish head, this dish also has thick Beehoon, taro strips, deep-fried pork lard, cabbage, ginger, and creamy soup.

I enjoy the thick Beehoon in this specific noodle dish because of its smooth texture it. I think it's good for slurping soup that is similar to what I'm having in the bowl. The noodles don't have a particular flavor profile because they mainly acquire their taste from the flavor of the soup.

The ingredient that made this dish a delicious one is the addition of deep-fried pork lard. I think it's the ingredient that gave the rich flavor to the soup together with the cream which surprisingly goes well with the fish head.

To help cut the richness of the dish, I often request pickled green chili as the condiment. The tanginess and the spiciness of the pickled chili gave the dish a depth of flavor and taste. It adds to the freshness of the dish.
