A fish soup with a subtle taste

Among the many food types that I eat, it's seafood is the one that excites me the most. I'm not sure why I'm more excited about eating seafood compared to other types of protein. I think it's the unique flavor of sea or freshwater that left a mark on my memory. Another reason for that is that my mother often prepared seafood dishes when I was younger. I guess the nostalgic effect of that experience is the one that made me like seafood so much.

For this dinner, I went to Liang Xing for their nice sliced fish soup with bee hoon.

This is the kind of soup dish that is perfect during rainy weather because of its warm effect. I like sipping fish soup that has a subtle ginger flavor in it because it feels healthy. Ginger is also good for the throat because it helps clear the airways and the symptoms of flu as well. Somehow, the fish soup is therapeutic to me.

This dish offers a variety of nutrients from the simple ingredients. There are carbohydrates from the noodles, protein, and minerals from the fish, and dietary fiber from the green leafy vegetables.

For a price of S$5, this dish is worth it because of the generous serving and good taste. It's the freshness of the ingredients that makes me always come back to this place.

There are plenty of other options for this fish soup but for this meal, I chose the simplest and most affordable among the fish soup dishes. I wasn't disappointed with the food so I will be back soon!

My journey to the world of food.
