I Am Alive Challenge : April 10 2026
Thank God It’s Friday. TGIF! God is good and His mercies endures forever, Amen. Thank God for life. Called my mum today and she was at the hospital. Her pressure has gone up. They asked her to do a cholesterol test since she’s already taking medication for high blood pressure so it’s not supposed to go up. Hopefully, it’s nothing serious. I’m just wondering if there’s a cure or there’s a better way to go about it. I’m not in support of her taking medication for the rest of her life. She’s already taking beetroot and a torn of herbs/veggies but it’s been high for years with no end in sight. If you can recommend something to lower the pressure, I’d be glad.

Hi @fredkese. The three things that immediately come to mind to reduce blood pressure are increasing vegetables in the diet (if she doesn't already eat several cups every day), reducing salt intake (especially if she adds salt to everything and/or she is eating a lot of packaged foods) and increasing exercise (if she's not moving her body a fair bit every day already). Hope that's helpful!
