i learned baseball back in Amsterdam at the end of the 70's early 80's
Do you follow baseball?
This is who taught me. We played in what we called the clinker field. It was across the street from his house, next to their convenient store and I lived next to the store.
The field was where they piled the coal next to the rail for one of the largest cotton mill in North America build by an industrialist named https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_Gibson_(industrialist)
