Roasted Onions & Sweet Peppers with Filet Mignon Steak
It's that time again for me to make a pretty good lunch for my niece. Today I roasted up some onions and sweet peppers and made a tender medium-rare filet mignon.
Typically, I roast the onions and sweet peppers before I add the steak to the frying pan. Sauteeing the onions and sweet peppers will ensure that the oil will burn enough right before we add anything else. Once I see or taste that the peppers are somewhat cooked that's when I apply the steak to the pan. The mixed glaze of the roasted onions and sweet peppers leaves a nice base flavor for the meats. You can do this with steak and chicken. I've never done it with other meats or fish.
Once it's all finish, it's time to destroy the meal at the table. I'm getting much better at cooking it seems.
As always making some great meals!
