在跳蚤市場找回憶 / Digging up memories at the flea market

夏天真的是熱到爆，在室外只要走幾步路，就開始滿身大汗，好像只有颱風來襲的那幾天，靠著狂風暴雨才能稍微涼快一點，不然平常就是那種又悶又熱的氣候。幸好這個跳蚤市場是在室內，不用頂著大太陽逛。難怪一大堆人都往裡面跑，邊吹冷氣邊逛攤位超舒服，而我自己也是為了逃避室外的高溫才鑽進來的啦！

一踏進市場，迎面而來的是熱鬧的聲音，有人在討價還價，也有人靜靜地挑選著古董小物，我特別喜歡逛那些販售黑膠唱片的攤位，雖然我家裡沒有唱盤，但光是看著那些復古的封面設計，就讓我感受到一股濃濃的懷舊氛圍，居然在某家攤位上，看到古早時代的音樂卡帶，哇！有 Bryan Adams、Tina Turner、Paula Abdul 等熱門歌手的專輯，我看過這些歌手的 CD 專輯，還不知道居然有發行過卡帶版本，問一下老闆，一捲卡帶專輯大概台幣三百五十元上下，價錢比我想像中要高不少。

我發現，跳蚤市場內，除了各式各樣的骨董小物之外，還有不少甜點攤，跟著人潮慢慢逛，就看見一個不大的甜點攤位，上面擺滿了一個個手工蛋糕、餅乾和小塔。攤主是一位年輕男孩，看起來很有文青氣息，男生會喜歡甜點，真的還蠻少見的，不過，生意還不錯。

在市場正中央，主辦單位還特地規劃了一小塊區域，請 DJ 現場放歌。不是那種震耳欲聾的電音，而是滿滿回憶殺的懷舊老歌，旋律一響就勾起很多人的共鳴，聽起來超親切。只是啊，市場裡人潮真的多到爆，大家擠來擠去，老歌雖然動聽，但完全壓不住那股熱鬧喧嘩的氣氛，反而變成說不清、道不明的背景音樂了。

跳蚤市場裡也有許多趣味十足的小東西，像是手工飾品、古早玩具、甚至老式相機。有些物品看起來雖然已經斑駁不堪，但卻充滿獨特的個性，此外，逛跳蚤市場的樂趣，還在於和攤販互動。有些老闆很健談，樂於分享物品的來源與歷史，讓人覺得自己不只是買東西，而是參與了一段故事。

Summer is seriously scorching hot! Just walking a few steps outside and you’re already drenched in sweat. It feels like the only time it ever cools down a bit is when a typhoon rolls in, bringing crazy winds and heavy rain. Other than that, it’s just muggy and unbearable most of the time. Luckily, this flea market is indoors, so no need to roast under the blazing sun. No wonder so many people flock inside. It’s super comfy browsing the stalls while enjoying the AC. Honestly, I came in for the exact same reason: to escape the brutal heat!

The moment I stepped in, I was greeted by all kinds of lively sounds. Some people bargaining loudly, while others quietly browsed through antiques. I personally love checking out the vinyl record stalls. Even though I don’t own a record player, just looking at those vintage album covers gives me a strong nostalgic vibe. To my surprise, one stall even had old-school cassette tapes! I spotted albums from Bryan Adams, Tina Turner, Paula Abdul, and other popular artists. I’ve seen their CDs before, but I had no idea they had cassette versions too. I asked the seller, and each album tape costs around 350 NTD, honestly pricier than I expected.

Besides antiques and collectibles, the flea market also had quite a few dessert stalls. Following the crowd, I stumbled upon a small stand filled with handmade cakes, cookies, and tarts. The owner was a young guy with a very artsy vibe. It’s not every day you see a guy so into desserts, but surprisingly, his business was doing really well.

Right in the middle of the market, the organizers even set up a little stage for a DJ. Instead of blasting heavy electronic beats, he was spinning nostalgic oldies—total memory lane vibes. The tunes felt super warm and familiar, sparking smiles here and there. But honestly, the crowd was so packed and noisy that the music couldn’t really calm things down. It ended up blending into the chaos, more like background noise you can’t quite describe.

Of course, a flea market wouldn’t be complete without all those quirky little finds, handmade jewelry, retro toys, even vintage cameras. Some items looked worn and weathered, but that only made them more unique. What I love most, though, is chatting with the vendors. Some are really talkative, eager to share the stories behind their goods. It makes you feel like you’re not just buying stuff, but actually taking part in a little piece of history.
