Tasty Indonesian Stirred Spicy Noodle, Cooked by Robot!
Hello, friends especially foodies!
Recently I was getting curious with a restaurant that specialized in Indonesian stirred noodle, what made it special that beside tasty, they made it with the help of robots. Have you seen one yet?
Well that's why, we were there since they just opened so we didn't need to queue up.
But early morning when we arrived there, already a family as customers before us.
In front, there is a ceramic figure of their mascot, a cute tiger and i took a photo with it.
To begin there, we needed to begin choosing the ingredients we wanted to in their open fridge.
They also mention the way to order there,
- Pick your favorites
- Bring your pick to our cashier
- Choose your flavour
- We stir it for you!
The ingredients that you could choose mushroom, onion, shitake mushroom, shitake beehon, baby corn, yellow noodle, beancurd, kwetiau, cutterfish roll, crab stick, cilok tofu, seafood tofu, lobster meatball, chicken sausage, mushroom ball, oden, crab nugget, chikuwa, chicken popcorn, chicken egg, chicken luncheon, and beef shortplate.
You could also choose veggie like caisim, pakcoy, white mustard, and water spinach. They also offered enoki, sandwich tofu, lotus, singapore fish cake, thai fish cake, seafood gyoza, chicken lapchiong, fried shewmay, kani katsu, salmon ball, fish & prawn ball, crab fish ball, spicy fish ball, fishball, shrimp, squid, and saikoro beef.
We chose what we wanted there, from kwetiau (flat noodle), filling tofu..
Then, shitake beehoon.
And of course other ingredients, meat, meatballs, veggies, mushroom, et cetera.
After that we chose what we wanted until
WOW it was 0,565 kilo and the price is 28,000 IDR for every 100 gram so it wouldn't cheap at all. LOL
Before paying, we needed to choose the flavour we wanted for our bowl.
In their menu, they had 5 options and all of them were spicy. But you could see the level of spiciness from the chili pictures. 1 chili mean level 1, the lowest spiciness; then 2 was spicier and so on; 5 was the spiciest.
The 5 options were
- mangkokku authentic spices
- rendang
- seblak
- rica-rica
- sour spicy soup
They also had smallest economic portions of the bowl in the packages below.
Some adds on like rice, korek chili paste, crispy chicken skin, fried cows lung, and crispy cows skin (rambak).
For beverages, they had iced tea, iced lemon tea, mineral water, chrysanthemum tea and grass jelly.
Well, beside the noodle menu, they also had some rice bowls too.
After paying then it was time for the chef to cook our order. But wait a minute, in the kitchen they had some robot cookers in a row. So what the chef was doing was just putting the spices and ingredients. Then let the robot do the rest.
Anyway the dining area there was not large but it was simple and cozy. They had rattan wooden furnish with unique batik floor. Neat and clean, such a nice place to dine in.
You could see that in the corner we could take ice cubes and free flow tea/lemon tea.
I ordered iced lemon tea, i could take how much i wanted.
Their lemon tea tasted sweet and bit sour. It was just so so and nothing's special.
We also ordered the crispy cow skin (rambak).
They were crunchy, crispy but soft with tasty savory flavour. I loved it!
Not a long time, our order came. Look at how large the bowl was!
We ordered MANGKOKKU AUTHENTIC SPICES NOODLE.
The noodle we chose were shitake beehoon and kwetiau (flat noodle). The beehoon surprisingly tasted so good with chewy soft texture, the kwetiau tasted good too. We chose many toppings such as crabstick - sweet flavour; fishball - chewy, soft with sweet and savory flavour; lobster ball - chewy, soft with sweet flavour; beef sliced - rich in spices like the whole bowl that we ordered (surprisingly so tasty); and we also had filling tofu - savory; shrimp - natural sweet; veggies and kind of mushroom.
Stirred fry by the robot, it tasted so good cause the spices were absorbed perfectly through all parts of the noodle and also the toppings. Rich with spices, the taste of it were savory, spicy and sweet, mixed together perfectly. Tasty!
Well, overall we agree that this place has the tastiest stirred noodle ever because it is so rich in spices and perfectly absorbed. Of course we would come back later to try their other flavour. Come and try it too!

That looks so tasty! 28000 IDR is equal to $1.7. It is around %$10 for a complete meal, if I am not wrong?
28K IDR was for 100 gram, and i had more than 500 gram.. yes around the amount you mentioned
What a great experience indeed! 😇 I really love the idea of this restaurant, since I am a fan of spicy noodles. Thank you for sharing.😇

It is really cool that they have lots of choices for the ingredients ha. There's a lot, if i'm in there, I'll have a hard time choosing coz I don't know the good combination of ingredients, lol. And those robots definitely looks cool. At least if there's a lot of people they can accomodate a lot of costumers at a time.
Yup you're right.. thank you
Spicy, tasty, and futuristic! Love this.
Thanks
What a great experience that you must have. I wish I had the chance to experience it someday. I am very curious about their noodles they look super delicious and have so much flavor, and they're unique. Even though it's a little bit pricey, I think, despite that I have a feeling that every bite of it would still be worth it if you look at it especially when you taste it, and also the cultural experience it so satisfying.
Thank you :)
