HOW I MADE MEAT PIE || SUMPTUOUS & CREAMY
Hey lovelies ❤️
It's your favorite girl @debbie-ese 😍
Welcome to my blog 🤗
Hello everyone and welcome to my blog. In the past few weeks, i have been experimenting with more enthusiasm and passion than ever before in the world of cooking. I have been setting out quality time from my busy schedules to try out new things in the kitchen. This time I will be sharing with you my process of preparing some meat pie that I made for my family. So keep calm and follow me as i walk you through the process
INGREDIENTS (FILLING)
- 200g minced meat
- 3 medium carrots
- 1 Big Onion
- 2 tsp plain flour
- ½ tsp thyme
- ½ tsp curry powder
- 2 season cubes
- Salt
- Water
INGREDIENTS (DOUGH)
- 400g plain flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 250g margarine
- Salt
- Water
HOW TO PREPARE
- Wash and dice your onions and carrots and set aside
- Place your pot on medium heat, add some vegetable oil, add your onions, add your minced meat and fry for about 3 minutes
- Next, add your diced carrots, add some water, add your seasoning cubes, curry and thyme and cover to cook for some time
- While its cooking, mix 2 tsp of flour with ½ cup of water. Mix thoroughly till it gives you a milky consistency. This is needed to give your filling a creamy consistency after baking. So add it to the pot and allow to mix with the other items in the pot for about 60 seconds and turn off the gas.
- Now set aside. We are done with our fillings.
- Let's start the preparations for the dough. Start by mixing the flour, baking powder and salt. After mixing thoroughly add the margarine; mix with the flour as well.
- Now its time to add the water in a gradual process, you need to be careful so that the dough won't be sticky or too soft
- Work the water into the dough till you get a thick consistency
- Place the dough on a flat surface, cut into smaller pieces and roll
- Get a dough cutter or something round and use it to cut out circles. I made used of a round ceramic plate. The size you're cutting out is the size of your meat pie.
- Scoop some of your filling into the middle of the dough that you cut out and seal it up
- Now crack a egg and whisk it together. Use a brush to rub the eggs over the dough. It will make it seal properly and also give it a shiny texture. You can also use a fork to press down the edges of the dough to seal and give a design
- Repeat the proceas for the remaining dough and neatly arrange in your oven tray.
- Bake in the oven for about 40 minutes and it is done when it is brown.
- Your meat pie is ready for consumption.
- NOTE: Meat pie is best served hot.

Here in Argentina they are very popular and are also made with Roquefort cheese and onion, with chicken and even with vegetables.
That will be so sumptuous. I like the flavor and creaminess that cheese adds to meals
