Restoran Raja's Corner
I'm not exactly sure if restaurants in India will name after "corner" or not, or if this is a specialty of Malaysia Indian restaurants trademark. Our Indian restaurants are known to call themselves a corner.
As much as it's name matches with the shop's location, as if every Indian shop is a corner shop. Even if they're not a corner shop, they tend to setup a restaurant by the corner. We will come back to this part later, why is it at the corner.
Let's come back to the good food. I haven't been to this restaurant before. It was the home minister's idea to dine in after sending the kids to school. I instantly like the fried noodle as it wasn't dry, neither too oily. Not many of those Indian shop knows how to control the amount of cooking oil goes into their fried noodles.
I would also like to try their nasi lemak. it's a sort of traditional coconut milk steamed rice with sambal, roast peanut and fried anchovies. The moment wifey open the package, I can smell the coconut fragrant explode from the banana leaf packaging. I'm not going to risk my experience by over indulging after the huge plate of fried noodle.
The traditional pull tea is one of the significant beverages of all Malaysian Indian restaurants, we called it teh tarik, by dripping the milk tea from one mug to another to create the foamy texture. One of the reason is the foamy texture make it even smoother and creamier, the other is so make it less hot, customer can drink faster and order another one 😂
Back to the topic, why do they called corner? This is the reason. We Malaysian grow up with drinking tea smoking cigarettes whilst enjoying the good view at the corner. Despite government had put a huge smoking ban, but it just can't stop us from enjoying good view, drink tea, and eat coconut steam rice.
I've been to Steven Corner, Salim Corner, Lawrence Corner, and so far the Raja's Corner is makes one of the best pull tea, and I really enjoy the fried noodle. I will be coming back to explore their chapati, dohsai and many other good food in the future.

我都系中意藏春阁多啲🤭
藏春阁呢家野, 就梗係留係v7, 我地兩兄弟慢慢研究啦衰鬼😏😏😏
Maybe you could find some herb to smoke to curb those cigarette cravings ;D
The food there looks pretty good quality to me. I would definitely try it out if I was there.
I'm always impressed at how you can find a good sky photograph almost anywhere you are :)
Thanks buddy. I do not wish to smoke anything anymore than I have already smoked. Oh I used to smoke cloves one time in my early 20s.
However, I'd still like to try that ganjaburger 🤣
Food is great. I don't get to eat there previously as I don't use that road to go and from work. Now that I know of this shop, my future route to work might be changed 🤣
I think the sky content has always been abundant in this tropical region due to the clouds. Another reason is the camera lens. One of my favorites was my Redmi 4x back in 2017 with only a 13mpx single lens camera.
I've heard cloves are not good to smoke. I smoked them as a teen lol, so gross and nothing like tobacco. I'll never forget what they tasted like.
I was digesting three potato, jalapeno, and cheese burritos while reading your comment. I used to be able to eat like a boss and three big burritos would be nothing for me, but this just isn't the case anymore.
I'll spare you the graphic details of what those burritos did to me, but my ass is still on fire as I write this comment if that puts it into perspective.
I've been eating more health consciously with less meat, but my body does not want to comply with my demands to eat like a boss.
I'm going to have to just live vicariously through your boss abilities and tone it down to a minimum of one or two burritos at a time.
Nostalgia :D
Nostalgia! That's exactly what I am having issues with now. I stuck with the nostalgic self because I just can't accept I'm half way passed my 40s 🤣 and the 64mpx camera lens is brutally honest about anything and everything it shoot. I wish I'm still that innocent dood holding a 13mpx phone and thinking I'm still that hot guy in that 13mpx worth photos 🤣
I get it.
I think it's called "mid-life crisis."
Flip that frown upside down and tell the little ones stories of the good old days.
We don't get to escape old age, so it's best to embrace it and become a teacher to the youth :)
I guess the restaurant you enter is on a corner hahaha, this on the corner is good marketing, it's like thinking that every time we turn we can see one of these restaurants, that we can always enjoy food in a place that we will always see, no we have to look for it, spend time looking for its location, it's in the corner :)
Yes indeed buddy. Over here many of the corner shops are restaurants 😊
