Checking out the bazaar

Life in the city has always been the kind of life that I wanted all my life. I think it's exciting and it makes me want to feel good about life in general. Everything is within my reach, a few minutes of walk can already bring me to a nearby shopping mall. Everything feels convenient even during the warm weather of the summer season. If it's too warm to go outside then I could simply stay at home with the comforts of an AC or I could simply go to the shopping mall which has an amazing AC environment.

There are plenty of things to do in shopping malls aside from shopping and eating. Hanging out and walking along the corridors of the mall is considered a good walking exercise in my opinion. That's so much better than sitting on the couch and watching TV / Netflix the whole day.

So, I went to the nearby shopping mall to check out the food cart in the bazaar area.

What I noticed is that there's no specific holiday to celebrate or to look forward to so there's no specific theme for this bazaar as well. Maybe that's the reason why the variety of the selections where not related to each other.

This Kueh stall looks like it was inspired by the recently celebrated Hari Raya. I rarely eat this food but I do like the steamed Kueh selections with a variety of fillings. I like the ones with red beans and black sesame filling.

Another theme that's gaining popularity is Turking food. According to a friend of mine, Baklava is something to try at least once or a few times in your life because it's good. However, it's also a bit expensive for its mini size so I didn't get any of it. I'm not a fan of Pistachio nuts so I don't feel particularly motivated to buy.

The rest of the food carts are offering unique products as well.

This Hokkaido Snack stall offers dehydrated fruits and vegetables and turns them into chips. I think these are healthier alternatives to chips.

This one sells ginseng and honey which are considered to be power foods!

While this one sells baked goodies. I like the chocolate chip muffin :)
