Such a glorious post, and yes, the layers of memory, footsteps, voices and exchanges... The immensity of it is unfathomable, but we can feel it reverberating and whispering to us, in our sentience, eh?
Thank you for this beautiful sharing yet again, dearest friend @kesityu.fashion - and the overpriced coffee - hehehe - this made me smile how you presented it - and it reminded me of when I went to Rome once, for the first time since I had enough money to actually travel a couple of hours by train (I should've cycled there!): I treated myself to a caffé and cornetto at one of the big fancy bars under some elaborate arches right next to Termini... It was wonderful! Then I went to pay and the woman asked me for more than 6 Euros! I literally took a step back and questioned if she was charging me for the wrong order? I had only had one coffee and a croissant??
She was quite put out. I apologised, but nel mio borgo costa meno di 2 Euro per la stessa cosa - in my village it only costs 2 Euro for the same thing. Aaah, the city!
Worth it for the view and the vibes, eh! xx
Thank you😊
Hahah yes, I made that experience in Florence too ...I was shocked, but the surroundings made it even again:)
...I guess it's those two worlds meeting, all the history and memories together with the businesses built around and within it. Sometimes I find it hard to find a way through, if you don't have any advice from someone from there.
Maybe next time you'll cycle🙃🚲
