I had been employed by recently opened restaurant called "Sommy Kitchen" in Rijeka, Croatia to shoot their dishes. They needed the photos for web so that clients can order them cause they prepare food only for delivery.

I made 2 different versions, on white background like usual, & for the 1st time also on the black background.

& I like it much more on the black background!

Here are some nice examples:

I don't remember exactly anymore what were the dishes but they were mostly meat-based. Luckily they have a lot of vegetarian meals too so I had the chance to eat various salads & some pastas with sauces & cheese & pizzas too...

Wow, what impeccable photos. I agree with you. Plating on a white plate highlights the food better. I like it as you can appreciate the different textures of the food. It looks appetizing...they say that food goes in through the eyes, and these photos whet the appetite. Congratulations. Thank you very much for sharing your work.

Thanks, darling, for the nice comment. I also like how the photo vibrate with colors & how the food is jumping up out of the black background. I would rather shoot always on black but many clients demand the white background...
