Yummy, yummy. Welcome back on my food blog, Hive People! At some moment, it's like all the ingredients I've kept in the fridge, they all talk! They were heard shouting asking to be cooked first. That's why I never fill up my refrigerator.
There are times I want to hide from the kitchen. Just to make my mind sane. I really get annoyed when I'm in the shower, I even think about the plating technique I'll serve the ingredients in the fridge! What the........
Everything looks beautiful, but my mind is a mess. It's messy to put all the elements together to look good, but it also feels satisfying to me. Also, being a perfectionist, also being a Leo, (oh please, this really sucks!) Those things make me want to do everything perfectly. I'm really stubborn to make it look like I want.
So, the activity of getting away from my kitchen this time is enjoying a cake that I've been craving! I want to enjoy the cake while watching a movie on my laptop. I will share food photography from Golden Cakes With Honeycomb Textures.
Takeaway Service From Neko-neko Bakery & Cake
I use ordering services from online applications. After comparing with several bakery & cake shops available near the area where I live, I finally chose Neko-neko Bakery & Cake.
This cake is called BIKA AMBON, originally from Medan City, Indonesia. People who are going to other areas usually make this BIKA AMBON cake as a souvenir. As someone who lives near Medan City, I really like this cake. But, I can't buy this cake often. Either way, I have to spend my money wisely.
For a box of these cakes, I paid $4.7 including delivery to my house. The price has already been discounted by $2. Of course, it makes me happy. I got $2 off from my online food ordering account.
What A Beautiful Cake!
In fact, BIKA AMBON has a texture on the inside and a beautifully porous surface like honeycomb. The texture of the cake itself is chewy but soft. If you don't get fresh BIKA AMBON and it's been stored in the fridge for a few days, the texture will be hard.
Several times I got BIKA AMBON which has a hard texture, not chewy and soft, from dishonest traders. So, this time I bought BIKA AMBON at a new store that I've never tried. And, this time I was not disappointed. I got BIKA AMBON which is super delicious and the texture is really beautiful.
While making a photo shoot for BIKA AMBON, I kept giving thanks to God for this cake. So, I made a food photography with a minimalist food theme.
I added a slice of orange to add tone to the dish. Incidentally, orange and cake are almost the same. Even so “BIKA AMBON” does not have an orange taste at all.
BIKA AMBON has a savory and sweet taste. Typical like the taste of a cake that uses a lot of eggs. BIKA AMBON is made from eggs, flour, coconut milk, and etc. That's why their taste becomes impressively savory, with a touch of cake's signature sweetness (but it's not overly sweet).
