Shifting focus

_DSC9696.jpg

I found a new model, except of the regular feeding and discarding what is not needed more, requires nothing else.
Besides being easy to maintain, it's inspiring and delicious.

Yes, call me model-eater!

Something is going on here behind the scene, besides posing and eating.

I am shifting my focus

Towards direction of my spark (remember when I complained about losing it, never mind if you don't), I found it!

...and it's been here, in front of my nose,
served on plate, literally daily.

FOOD

Kind of surprising, ha?

Sourdough

Last month was mostly spent wondering "why wouldn't I start a food blog?"

Basically I am partly doing it, already, here on Hive and that is the first place where I encouraged myself and start sharing kitchen moments. Looking it from a side, it's just another woman in kitchen preparing daily meals, deep down in the core - it's a lot more.

Creative zone

Observing people reactions around here on blockchain and recently my awaken Instagram friends, feedback is good, encouraging and made me think about it as something more than just taking hobby food photos.

I do hate doing dishes tho, even that doesn't keeps me away from messing them up daily/few times a day.

Plenty of food bloggers out there, I know.

..and I don't care, not this time.
That was my bad toxic habit pulling myself away from certain idea just cause it's already somewhere out there.

It's also true that food and mine close relation starts in early age, visits me again in my teen days and finally settles in twenties.

There were also few attempts of starting a home baking business, as I can remember well I had two orders and give up after it (fast results were expected disappointment got me away, lack of support)

It's never too late, and it's not.
No big expectations this time, except persistence and learning.
Next my hedonistic side of eating, there is also food voyeurism moment.

I have never hidden it, if I haven't already had the opportunity to taste it, I will be happy to feed my eyes with a delicious sight.

Scrolling trough social media nowadays there is a high standard placed in food photography, question is do we all have to follow it?

Not saying that I do not like to take a look at something framed so perfectly, ideally detailed and calibrated but is that real time kitchen shoot?
Food bloggers that got my attention are fully organic, real time food prep and shoot, and that's heavy part of this "branch."

Most of meals are requiring whole day, that also means your equipment will be all over the place until you are done with whole process.
Or you can simply frame final turn out and that's it.

...probably my future blog won't be focused strictly on the food, perhaps still life, kitchen tips and tricks, who knows where that might end, adding shop, selling goodies, plenty of options!

Plus, one day we will be back on homestead, blog can not die if you don't kill it, it can be retirement hobby, passive income.

I've counted to many reasons already why I think this is my spark, shall I stop or mention future desired artisan bakery?

Small local type of bakery with diverse menu of forgotten or rarely found pastries, that's what I would like.

About this one I am aware it takes much more time and investment than blog itself.

No rush, this time.

We are considering potentially moving back to the big city sooner.

Realizing impossibility of finding a job here was quite painful. It also matters for our future dreams, we still need bloody money no matter how much we wanted to live slower and on our own.

Sonner we start, closer we will be to our life goals realizations!

_DSC9722.jpg

Finally I'll do that confectionery course, hated when mom pulled my sleeve with her in kitchen cause I know dishes are mine, well know fact is that I do not even like to cook in group or with someone.

(you can help me doing the dishes, my approval to step in) :P

I hate moving again, really do, looking for new place, changing daily routine change as such, but if I have to make it - let it be drastic!

Same time, my focus here will shift according to everything above. Wondering where you will see me the most?
Anywhere where food is, recipes, tips, photography anything related to it.

That's where I swim the best.
(photos are taken as theme -rising bread-, this is mine first ever successfully made starter and baked sourdough)

@monochromes, this is my entry for the #monomad challenge, thank you all for your time and interest in what I do

I was picking something and everything all at once. I know it must have been a long journey, building this level of positivity but I heavily commend you for it. Even though our present may seem bleak, that dream that we hold dearest to our hearts would keep us going in the worst of situations. All my love to you dear, looking forward to the food blogs and everything in between.

I call that late blooming 😂 there are certain number of mortals walking around, bumping, starting over, falling, rising, experimenting, changing until they puzzle all out.

Nice to meet you :)

You can't imagine how happy reading this has given me. Well yes, hahaha... you've seen it. That is one path. And all those ideas are good and I even see more, but one step at a time.
Project by deadlines and visualize. You are really good at this, woman, and no, you don't have to follow patterns. It's just that you already have a style and you haven't realized it.

In the same way that I tell you to project and visualize, there is a part that requires action and decision. Everything would be very easy if we already knew in advance where all this was going to take us, right? Well, that's the beautiful thing about walking and discovering and learning and growing in the process.

I wish I could help you wash the dishes.

Spent lot of times spying on the reactions around 😉, future is uncertain and hopefully it will never change (don't think I would like to know scenario upfront, maybe some of :p).

Deadlines doesn't work with me. :D
Not that I didn't try, but it's not productive in my way (or possibly I don't know how to set them), priorities first, setting stability - full-time job.

Lack of blog designing skills gives me a lot of time to think and plan while sitting and slowly working on the dreams come true.

Whenever I did something purely cause of money - I failed, got exhausted.
But, when I am into deeply, wohoo, I like it I'll fight for it and bite for it.

(dish washing, really? 🥹)

Well, that's the mistake, money is not pursued. In reality nothing is pursued, things are gained. One becomes worthy of them.

How do you do this? Working and enjoying and adding value. It also changes the focus because you as a person are valuable and it is not about you going to feel good for contributing or doing something that others do and that you will do it well and make an effort. It is not like this...

Let's see. You first ask yourself what you have to offer, investigate the weaknesses in that regard, and then you show up in the right place discussing those weaknesses and offering solutions.

And no, I don't like that job of washing dishes, I would only do it to help you.

Life is full of mistakes and musts :)

Everything depends on the job, what does that contributes to me, to the others.

I am being dummy selling something I wouldn't use myself.

(help me, do the dishes 🥹)

haha... well, for the moment it is my wish to be able to help. Objectively I don't think I can do it.

The thing is, I'm not good at being a model and I'm not willing to be eaten either. :D

Then... the dishes.

You are a model eater? 😳

😂

you can help me doing the dishes, my approval to step in

Thank you :))

I think I didn't even ask haha

If you move again, good luck. Anything you decide, do it because you like it, and if from a need, then try to start to like it :D

If that small local type of bakery comes true... it would be heaven ;)

Congratulations on your successful sourdough loaf. It's a process, but definitely worth it when it turns out how you like. I've heard it takes about 100 loaves to become consistently "good" at baking sourdough.

Best of luck in your upcoming endeavors! 💖

99 more to go then 😂

Honestly I've enjoyed more building starter than bread itself, and definitely it was worth of all the waiting.

Thank you very much 🤗

Haha! The starter is pretty fascinating. Did you name yours yet? From what I understand, it can live indefinitely, as long as conditions are right. You can pass it down to your grandchildren 😆

Certainly haven't named it yet 😂 let's see how long will it be alive.
'building' week is kind of tough, until the colony strengthens after it fridge storing, feeding once a week.

Probably my grandchildren will eat some virtual kind od bread :D

🤣🤣🤣 virtual bread, that's a good one.

You'll get the hang of it! It's the start of a beautiful relationship.

P.S. our starter is named Harold. He also gets fed once a week and lives in the fridge 😊

Hi Harold!
Today another experiment will be made, in case of succeed - I'll name it.:D

Had you try drying it on parchment paper and storing? I'm curios about that part.

Naming is fun 😊.

No! I haven't done that. But now I want to give it a try with a bit of Harold. Thanks for the hint!
