Photo shooting & tasting local mushrooms / 地元産のキノコの食べ比べ

There are some startups that I know of in my city that grow rare mushrooms. Although I often see them at the market I have my stand sometimes, we are both busy that by the time the market is over, mushrooms are sold out.

When I went shopping at the city farmers' market, there were the mushroom guys! I wanted to eat interesting mushrooms, and also, I have always wanted to post to Fungi Lovers for long as a fungi lover. I bought all kinds of mushrooms not only to taste them but also to practice photography.

In the photo on top, the three varieties are pink oyster mushrooms, pompon mushrooms, and lemon ... oysters, I think.

All are beautiful but the pom-pom mushroom's appearance is special, like a monster.

And the colors are beautiful too. The two below look quite similar but taste was surprisingly different.

Of course I bought them to eat, so I must cook them but I felt pity to cut the beautiful mushrooms. Sorry mushrooms.

As recommended by the mushroom shop, I just fried them in olive oil and sprinkled salt lightly to enjoy the taste of each one. I cut the pompon thick so it looks like a steak.

The finished ones freshly went on and on to the table. The pompon was extraordinary juicy with fine umami full juice. It is my favorite taste.

The interesting one was the pink oyster mushrooms, which the mushroom shop said were "just like bacon!" so I was looking forward to it! They were right.

The yellow ones, on the other hand, had a neutral flavor. It's a bit pity that both the pink and yellow ones lost their beautiful colors after being cooked. But taste good everything all right.

I decided to share the mushrooms' pebbles with the compost. I think my compost like them 😉

私が住んでいる街には、珍しいキノコを育てているスタートアップが私が知っているだけでも2つあります。よくマーケットでご一緒するものの、お互い忙しくてマーケットが終わる頃には完売・・・を繰り返していました。

街中のマーケットに買い物に行ったら、そのキノコ屋さんがいるではないですか!もちろん購入しました。おもしろいキノコを食べたかったのと、あと、きのこが大好きでFungi Loversにずっと投稿したかったのです。写真の練習にもなりそうだとうきうき全種類買って帰ってきました。冒頭の画像のピンクオイスター、ポンポンマッシュルーム、レモン・・・オイスターだっけ・・・の三種類です。

ポンポンのモンスターみあふれる見た目がたまりません。

色の違いだけでなく、味も違うとのことで食べるのが楽しみです。

買ったのはもちろん食べるため、もったいないですが切ります。ごめんねキノコたち。

キノコ屋さんのおすすめ通り、それぞれの味を楽しむべく、オリーブオイルで炒めて軽く塩をふるだけにしました。ポンポンは厚めに切ったのでステーキのようです。

焼いたものをどんどん食卓へ。ポンポンは噛むと肉汁ならぬキノコ汁がジュワッと出てきてジューシーでした。好みの味です。

おもしろかったのがピンクオイスターマッシュルームで、キノコ屋さんは「ベーコンみたいだよ!」と言ってたので楽しみにしていました。そう、まさにベーコンでした。一方黄色い方はニュートラルな味わいでした。ピンクも黄色もきれいな色がなくなってしまうのがちょっと残念、かな。

キノコの石づきはコンポストに分けてあげることにしました。地元産のオーガニックキノコの石づき気に入ってくれるかな?

そんなこんなのキノコ写真撮影と食べ比べでした。キノコ屋さん、ありがとう、楽しませてもらいましたよ!

Such a beautiful post! Did you really felt pity to cut them, no joking?.. I do understand you. But you did the least you could do - take the pics and memorize them. Those simple and delicate colours are very appealing. ☘️ Have a slice of Hive !PIZZA back.

Yes I do 😁 It can be something Japanese-ish. I feel pity for a loaf of nice bread when I cut it. But I fully enjoyed them so they should be happy too 🍄 Thanks for the Pizza!
