Discovering the Flavors of the Philippines at Tambayan At Kainang Filipino in Kota Kinabalu

Last week during supper time, we had the pleasure of dining at Tambayan At Kainang Filipino, located at Api-Api Centre in Kota Kinabalu. The restaurant offers an array of authentic Filipino cuisine, and we were excited to try it out.

The bustling location, combined with the cozy atmosphere and colorful decor, made us feel like we were in the heart of the Philippines, even though it was already midnight and everything around was quiet.

We ordered a set meal of four dishes, which we shared among a small group of people. The meal included Crispy Pata (Pork Knuckle), Sisig (Minced Pork with Egg), ChopSuey (Fried Mixed Vegetables with Chicken), and Bulalo (Beef Shank Soup).

Each dish was served to perfection within 15 minutes, and we were completely satisfied with the quality and taste of the food. In particular, @joannewong loved the Pork Knuckle dish and cleaned her plate entirely.

Although we were quite full after our meal and didn't have room for dessert this time, we plan on coming back for more on our next visit. If you find yourself in Kota Kinabalu, be sure to visit Tambayan At Kainang Filipino for some authentic Filipino cuisine.
