Visit to the Chubu Sangaku National Park

Chubu Sangaku National Park., also called as the “The Roof of Japan.” And it lived up to every bit of the hype. This park was on our way down from Murodo, which is another beauty. It's a small park, nothing dramatic but yes, the views are wow from here. It's at a height of 3000m, giving a view of the snow clad mountain ranges around.

The full Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route is magical. We did it all in one day excursion from Tokyo, which became a little hectic. A 2 day plan here with an overnight stay in Nagano is ideal to enjoy these views and place. In your Japan itinerary
The Alpine Route should be there, it is basically a greatest-hit in the itinerary. To reach Murodo the final stop of the Alpine route from Nagoya we had to take multiple transports; trolley buses, ropeways, cable cars, and walk throughs, and at each change there were amazing sights to witness.

It was a super hectic day but all worth it for the views I had on this day journey. The weather here is unpredictable, one hour it’s sunny, next hour it gets cloudy. We had a mix of a day. Though on top at Murodo we got clouds and that was not good, because the views got restricted. But you do not have anything in control here, the fact is that in places like these the mountains will decide your plan, not you.

Japan has lors to offer, It is wild and raw and very scenic. April to June is considered to be ideal time to visit for good clear view but still you cannot say when the weather changes. A super hectic day, we started at 6.30 in the morning and were back at our hotel only around 9, super exhausted but happy. I had planned this on the very first day after our arrival. I knew it was going to be hectic so planned it at the start because that's the time when we are fully high on energy, and the excitement takes you through.

It sure is beautiful there, but a bit frigid with all that snow on the mountains. It sounds like getting there is a bit of a hassle, but those views are really pretty. I love mountains having grown up around them from the time I was young!

Thanks for sharing more of Japan, one of these days I'll have to make a trip there!

Getting there is a lot of hassle for sure, but the best part is every stop is like a destination by itself. It feels like you are visiting many places instead of just 1 final destination
