Vibes jak antresola
Wczoraj przez przypadek dowiedziałem się, że Vibes należy już do przeszłości. Trochę mnie to zaskoczyło, więc wszedłem na profil @lordbutterfly. No i nie znalazłem tam żadnego komunikatu w tej sprawie. Nic. Tylko zmieniony tytuł ostatniego posta: VIBES HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED. Trochę to dziwne. Nie opublikowano żadnej ewaluacji, żadnego podsumowania. Nawet informacji o powodach zamknięcia. Ponoć głosowania były ustawione. Możliwe też, że pod jego przykrywką handlowano bronią z Radomia (inside joke). Ale najlepsze w tym wszystkim jest to, że władowano w ten konkurs ponad 50K HBD i przez wiele miesięcy przedstawiano go jako wielki sukces. Tymczasem rzeczywistość wyglądała inaczej.
Cała ta sytuacja kojarzy mi się trochę z tym, co mi się właśnie przytrafiło. Otóż, robię remont magazynu w Królestwie. W magazynie na wysokości 2 metrów jest dziura, która prowadzi do drugiego pokoju. Pomyślałem, że fajnie byłoby mieć antresolę, dzięki której można byłoby przechodzić przez tę dziurę. No i znalazłem na Allegro idealne rozwiązanie: łóżko piętrowe ze schodkami, pod którym można postawić stolik. Jak na nie trafiłem to krzyknąłem: TO JEST TO! Od razu zacząłem też planować rozmieszczenie regałów, całą logistykę i w ogóle. Zupełnie niepotrzebnie...
Problem pojawił się, gdy spojrzałem na wymiary. Otóż na zdjęciu to łóżko wygląda tak jakby było bardzo wysokie. Może 170 cm. W rzeczywistości jednak ma zaledwie 140 cm (bez barierek). Trochę niskie. A na pewno o wiele niższe niż wynika to ze zdjęcia. A to oznacza, że wciąż pozostawałoby pół metra do wspomnianej dziury. No i cały plan z antresolą runął.
No ale z dwojga złego i tak wyszedłem na tym fejkowym zdjęciu lepiej niż Hive. Straciłem może ze dwie godziny na szukanie i mierzenie. Hive natomiast stracił ponad 50K HBD, które poszły na ustawione konkursy. Już lepiej było wybudować za to studnie. Przynajmniej byłby z tego jakiś realny pożytek dla ludzkości.
So 50k was not wasted. For 95% of time it was spent as intended and delivered results it was supposed to. It onboarded users, it generated engagement. A waste is when something doesnt deliver anything but some people think is cool to fund so we fund it.
Kind of like sitting around a table and playing cards, watching films with friends and Hive giving me 30k HBD. Thats what I would consider more of a waste honestly.

It's not difficult to attract people by giving away 1K HBD a week. I wonder how many of these users will still be active in six months' time. My guess: 0%. Contests create fake traffic. They are a short-sighted solution. So yes: 50K HBD down the drain.
It's funny how you see the first place in Europe that implemented Hive. It's a pity that there isn't a single one in Croatia. Anyway, the difference is that we did not waste the funds from the Value Plan. Thanks to them, we developed the place so much that attendance increased by 250% and we became recognisable in Krakow and beyond. Thanks to this recognition, we are now in contact with the largest cryptocurrency exchange in Central and Eastern Europe. They are organising an event at our venue in December. In May, we presented Królestwo and Hive at their educational centre. In Steem's heyday, there were attempts to list the token there. It didn't work out. And we are quite close. Unlike the seasonal onboarding of musicians, who (without giving away 1K HBD a week) will be gone in a year, this may attract new investors.
PS. Trying out different promotional methods is normal. However, you need to know when to stop. We also had ideas related to contests, but after giving away 100 HBD, we decided that it wasn't the best idea.

Not only do you not deliver anything of value whatsoever, you have no engagement on Hive, average of 0 comments per post, 10 views per post, onboard no one, you dont even PROMOTE Hive. Not a single event you do has anything to do with Hive. Hive isnt even mentioned!!!!

@krolestwo is a great and unique example of implementing Hive to run independent place and NGO. You can not only pay with HBD there but also token RCRT on Hive engine is used there for governance and spending too.
Thanks to @hivebeecon I had opportunity to meet multiple Hivers from across the world, which is crucial in strenghtening community, I'll ping here just few of them (@phortun @delishtreats @blind-spot @edje @mipiano @mynewlife @priyanarc @ph1102) Beside that I had opportunity to participate in blockchain fridays, which always at least partly covered Hive. Also the place if full of Hive branding, and it manages to balance focus on topics of interests and promoting form of governance and organisation (which is Hive).
The next weekend there will be next edition of @hivebeecon You can come and is it by yourself the you'll hive some right to criticize, because it seems right now, you know shit and throw it panic when criticised. Are you fucking 5, or what?

Saying "im wrong" doesnt really mean anything when you post it under all the screenshots i did, all the facts i presented, the expenditure, the paying for his rent, the text i pulled from his random posts with ZERO engagement, the link to his calendar with 100s of dates with ZERO hive related topics or any mentions of Hive, with events that have ZERO hive mentions on his facebook and his fund raising for Krolestwo he does not mentioning he receives money from DHF.

Ohh, you could have false impression that I'm some kind of @krolestwo hardcore goer:) I live 70km from Krakow, and this is just tiny sliver of activities I'm aware of and participated in. Also there is quite big number of accounts that joined at the sole initiative of @hallmann. For example if you'd make killer ash tray, you could use oven for free, if you'd join Hive and post about it:)
What I mean in general, there is a strong connection between @krolestwo and Hive, and there is a lot of iterations of ideas how to promote and how to talk about Hive with avarage person, this by itself is a great baggage of experince, that could benefit the whole community if shared and received.
Summing it all up, I personally believe @krolestwo is one of the finest examples of using DHF money for promotion. And that's why I felt compelled to comment on your comment at the other post, because we can take very different approaches to promoting Hive. This is an issue that makes me think a lot, and probably the most complex challange for Hive, and I strongly disagree when I see such dismissal of this complexity.

Im personally not against Krolestwo at all, its a cool idea, hanging out with friends talking about feminism, poetry. Its cool. Im sure theres hivers that go there. I have a group like that as well, we watch football games.
We dont spend 30k though or ask Hive to pay our rent.
He can go participate in the Hivehub project Starkerz will start and if Hallman adjusts his approach to promoting Hive and whatever requirement Matt gives him, ill have no problem with it. But I can tell you now, its not going to be 30k in 6 months or he be allowed not to promote Hive while getting Hive money because "its hard to do".
If youre ashamed of Hive, are incapable of promoting it and unwilling, dont ask for money.

Being away from HIVE for the last 6 months, I am totally out of sync about all the drama happening in our community. I can just say that my experience with the community in Poland, Kingdom, and all that feels very legit to me. Many projects run from the Kingdom centre to help people and educate them about crypto. I certainly loved the HBD/HIVE PoS for the bar with, where possible, an end-to-end crypto setup, even for the bar drinks and food being purchased from shops/wholesale using crypto only. A community and place with crypto at its heart and programs to educate others. Love it!
