#773 - Macro shots for Friday.
Happy Friday evening beloved Hiveans. It's my off today and didn't have much to do so I woke up late. My wife who worked at night continued to sleep til noon. My mother in law also cooked our breakfast while my sister in law was doing their laundry. I will have to wait til Saturday or Sunday to do our laundry since they still have to wait for their laundry to dry and also fold it after. In the afternoon before five my wife and I went to the river for a quick walk even though it's summer here and the temperature was still hot.
Now for our daily shots let me feature macro photography of our tiny friends which we may not notice most of the time. During our trek in Luisiana Laguna going to the Hulugan water falls that this place is famous for. We went here during a weekday to avoid the crowd during weekends because it takes more time to travel and walk and the crowd congest the waterfalls. One of the insects we saw while walking going to the water falls was this tortoise beetle which is a relative to lady bugs. It was on a big green leaf and was walking on several directions.
Then we also saw this jungle spider on another part of the trek. The critter was still guarding its cobweb which doesn't have any meal yet so it could be hungry already. It has those long black legs with orange spots in it. The stomach is also remarkable with the design on its back like a tattoo art.
Then there's this flat jungle cockroach which is on a leaf. The roach is different from what we have at home. This critter doesn't even budge after touching it while the house roach crawls a lot. The thickness also is different, the house roach are thicker than this one in the forest including the color.
Then lastly are these shots of wingless young green grasshoppers. They are on different groups but close to each others on leaves of different wild plants. They are not actually elusive when I got close to them, here's an index finger of mine as a reference beside a small group. They are eating the green leaves of the wild plants as their source of food. The critters are also not jumping off even if I am too close, they just stand still curious about what's going on.😂
