#481 - At Mount Kalugong.
A pleasant Monday evening to you all beautiful Hiveans. I know we have that feeling that Monday gives because it's mostly the start of our work week. I too have that feeling sometimes that I want the weekend to just stay where it is and not gonna roll on to the next day😁. Anyways, we gotta keep grinding to pay the bills right so just keep pushing one day at a time.
Just wanted to share some shots which we took when the wife and I went to climb this mountain called Kalugong just outside the city of pines. We went there just as the sun is about to rise and there were no jeepneys we could find yet because it's too early and we may have to wait for other passengers still before the jeeps rolls, so we took a cab which the city has plenty of them. In about twenty minutes of ride we got to the starting point of the hike and so we start hiking. It is only a minor hike and won't take much time to get to the summit so hike is about less than thirty minutes. We had to pay an environmental fee as well somewhere in the mountain before we can proceed. The area is private owned so they have security too.
This is a view of the La Trinidad area. We could see fields from far away, those are their agricultural lands where they plant strawberries and other vegetables like lettuce, cauliflower and many more. There are huge boulders of rocks as well. The sun was up and so as the clouds. There are also a lot of infrastructures which are mostly houses in the surrounding areas of the mountains.
We got to a small house which is also a coffee shop and restaurant and they have a balcony on the back. We went there and it's also a good spot to take photos. You may notice that the stepping area in this balcony are those rusty metals which are also used in hanging bridges here in Cordillera. It's a sturdy piece of metal and had stood time that is why it is the most common used materials in this region.
The wife pose while I took her photos and with the farm area in the background. The huge land behind is what draws tourists to visit. That area is called the strawberry farm, though they grow other plants, it's an experience going here and picking ripe fruits and put it in the basket then pay it in a stall where the owner is.
We also went to the opposite side of the mountain which is not known to tourists. This area is for local residents and I haven't been in this part as well. Looking at the houses and their farms, this area definitely produce a large number of crops which we see in the city market and even those in Metro Manila. There's a lot of mountains here which we can see in the background too.
Boulders of huge rock formations are also found on top of this mountain called Mount Kalugong. There's an abundance of pines trees as well so it's definitely a great spot to unwind.

Another breathtaking photos, kapatid!
Thanks madam😉
The first picture gives me goosebumps because as a person from hilly mountains those are some amazing yet difficult shots to take i mean the rocks look pointy and brittle my legs would be shaking there 😂♥️ hats off to you
True, it's challenging to navigate in these rocky situation 😉.
