#1203 - Flowers and Critters Shots for Sunday.

Moving now to our daily shots one noon time somewhere in Baguio City with the midday sun felt warm into one of the lush public gardens. The midday light beams through the surrounding pine trees ideal for taking photos. The garden was filled with blooming flowers combination of yellow and purple blossoms. The bright yellow flowers seemed to glow like tiny suns while the purple ones added a rich contrast. Together, they looked magical under the clear blue sky.

The garden was alive with movement with a whole different world happening right in front of the eyes. It was a busy, tiny world of insects gathered among the blooms for the exact same purpose of gathering pollen. The most hardworking residents were the honeybees diving headfirst into the blooms. I watched as one bee clumsily landed on a flower's center. It moved with gentle buzz.

Then there's something shiny and metallic blue flies. Usually, people shoo flies away but looking at them up close was a total something different. Their bodies sparkled like little flying gems. They moved darting quickly from petal to petal with sudden movements.

There were also some few wasps. I spotted them hovering around and looked intimidating. They were just here doing their part landing on the flowers to sip nectar before flying off to the next bloom.

I spent a good amount of time just here watching this tiny world up close using my Panasonic Lumix ZS110. It was lovely seeing nature at work on such a macro level..a quiet, buzzing ecosystem thrives right under our noses if we just take the time to look.
