Now for our daily shots, my wife and I have visited Intramuros countless times this time again at the Casa Manila Museum mid morning which was the quieter hours before the bigger crowds arrive. Exploring this place over again did not disappoint. The museum is a reconstructed Spanish colonial house and walking through its doors always feels like going through a time machine.

Right in the middle of the area is a fountain. It is a peaceful spot. My wife and I stood here for a while. We took photos of each other with the fountain.

From here, we head up to the roof area climbing concrete stairs, we popped into the open area. What caught my attention immediately was the roofing. The entire roof was made of traditional clay tiles, the kind that were used during the Spanish colonization of the Philippines. I could imagine what Manila must have looked like centuries ago.

Standing up here, looking out over the other old buildings of Intramuros with their similar roofs out into the distance, the feeling of being in the past was kinda overwhelming. It feels like the modern Manila city outside the walls had vanished. My wife and I walked carefully along. Indeed, it is a beautiful, living piece of our history.
