#1053 - My Old Friend named Jumpy Shots for Friday.

Hello dearest Hiveans across the world! We’ve all reached that wonderful finish line now, it’s already Friday! Let this Friday energy wrap around you like a warm hug and we hope it brings you genuine joy and deep relaxation. Have a truly wonderful and uplifting Friday😍.

Now for our daily shots at a vacant lot near our place which had just been trimmed, leaving the grass short and neat also fresh and earthy. It was the perfect, safe place to bring my old Shitzu dog friend named Jumpy. At ten years old, he’s a senior. His eyes are now clouded with cataracts, making the world blurry to him. His back legs and knees that have also grown weak.

But none of that stops him. As soon as his paws touch the grass, his tail wags. This walk is his essential exercise and he carries it out with fulfillment. He doesn’t run anymore too, he walks on a slow patrol. His nose becomes his guide, sniffing at the weeds and areas tagged by other stray dogs, which he also tag and claim haha by peeing.

This lot is often visited by a few stray dogs and cats that watch him from a distance. There was a time when Jumpy would have immediately l chase them while barking with excitement. Now, he just lifts his head when he senses them and barks a bit. Then he continues his slow walk.

It’s a deeply touching sight but he keeps moving with the simple pleasure of being outside. Despite his limitations, he is still incredibly cute.

Watching him, I can’t help but smile with a heart and I think that one day, I will be old too. My body might not do what I want it to and the world might seem a little blurry, it's actually starting now.. Can't see close objects anymore. But if I can face those years with even half the grace and quiet courage that Jumpy shows, then I will consider it a life well lived.
