big brain, December 20th
The book might remain the best gift one can get. At least, it comes quite close to a hat and gloves in the winter. Freedom, the liberty to live as one wishes- maybe to travel the world in a van is not equivalent to permitting your children to walk around in shorts when temperatures tally under the freezing point. Books deliver that positive liberty, the optionality to dictate one’s life- either write memories or game and watch others. As such, when offered this book by a friend, I believe there may have been no indication the magnitude of improvement he bestowed with it.
This hundred-page novel appears meager and overpromising, a used car salesmen selling buckets. Then, again, schemes did not always scream their theses, the plan with an ultimate goal to liberate you from your hard-earned dollar. Within the memory bank, an episode plays rerunning to remind the audience of an important listen. A young lady who modeled on occasion came by one evening, with the intention to sell. Unbeknownst to the gullible gopher of a photographer, the amateur sitter joined some organization, bent on recruiting lambs. Members need only invite 4 new members to waive the monthly fee for membership. Participation offered various, unspecified benefits like the medicines advertised in commercials. Only in America. The mark, our artist, only sought interesting portraiture with a willing subject. His inability to decline solicitations reflected naivete. The show ends, static blurring over images. How the model operates contrasts directly with the teachings of this book. One need not cheat others to get rich. Driving hard bargains, or requesting more, proffering less did not make anyone great fortunes. In fact, delivering more value than promised made a cornerstone of the bridge on the road to glory.
As a fledgling photographer, there are many techniques to gain greater perspectives. One such method is the variation of lenses. Using a longer focal length narrowed the view but focused on subjects very well. Books as a lens to view other texts might not only expand vision and horizons, but compound power. Done effectively, reading multiplies, even exponentially the scope. I readily admit my first journey through this book went slowly despite its brevity, as each though gave pause. A walk through a museum, each piece begged you to stay, sit and observe. Maybe reading is dry, boring and difficult as opponents suggest. I know I avoided some things, even stories out of disinterest. Yet, the right writing hit like a drug, doping its user up with huge power. Good book get you good brain.
Post Summary
- If knowledge is power, books are batteries.
- Writing lessons learned teaches you long after the experience, a valuable tool.
- Photographers use lens to view more. As such, anyone could use books to do more.
Buenas comparaciones entre los libros y la fotografía. Me gustó mucho este post, aunque algunas cosas se me escapen en la traducción.
Saludos!
Heh. Mil gracias, companero.

That being said: the latest medium of spreading knowledge or teaching something is the video game and once we tap into that, humanity could make a huge leap.
That line of thinking is provoking. I like it. Game it, huh. In any event, that tracks. (Gameboy Advance, Gameboy Advance SP, Pokémon games made by Game Freak, Gamecube...) I might have a problem.
