In Senlis : The Heart ❤️ of the City (Part 4)

In the 3rd century, the Romans protected the city with a wall that was 4 meters thick (which can be seen, for example, on Rue Villevert in the first photo below) with around thirty towers, many of which still exist!
But to truly appreciate the town of Senlis, it's great to wander through the cobbled streets, where you might expect to see D'Artagnan emerge!

Au 3^ème siècle, les romains ont protégé la ville avec une muraille de 4 mètres d'épaisseur (que l'on peut notamment voir rue Villevert, 1^ère photo ci-dessous.) avec une trentaine de tours dont une bonne partie existe encore !
Mais pour apprécier la ville de Senlis, il est bon de se laisser aller dans les ruelles pavées desquelles on s'attend à voir surgir D'artagnan !

Royal Chapel of Saint-Frambourg. It was founded in the 10th century by Queen Adélaide (she was the wife of Hugues Capet).
Auditorium of the Georges Cziffra Pianist Foundation since 1973.

The Courtillet Dead-End
Impasse Courtillet.

Still the same dead-end. Ideal as a movie set.
Toujours la même impasse. Idéale comme décor de films.
