White in Monochrome
During my walk today, I managed to capture quite a number of photos. As I was reviewing them later, I realized that many of them shared something in common, so I decided to set aside the ones featuring white flowers.

At first, it felt a little strange to even call them “white flowers,” considering that my photography style is mostly black and white. On the surface, it might not make much sense. But the more photos I take, the more I notice that color still leaves its mark, even when it’s removed. A white flower has a presence that feels different from the rest. In black and white, it often appears brighter, softer, almost as if it’s carrying its own light.
There’s something almost heavenly about them. The petals catch light differently, creating gentle highlights and smooth transitions that stand out against darker backgrounds. Even without color, they feel pure and calm, quietly demanding attention without trying too hard. That contrast is what keeps me interested, the way simplicity can still feel powerful.
Walking slowly gives me time to notice these subtle differences. Some flowers were fully open, others still reaching outward, and a few already beginning to fade. Each one felt like a small moment worth keeping. Photography, for me, is not just about capturing how things look, but how they feel when I encounter them in that exact moment.
I find it fascinating how nature continues to surprise me, even when I limit myself to one subject or one style. Today’s walk reminded me that there’s always something new to see, as long as I take the time to look closely.
Let me share these photos with you.
Have a great day ahead.
