Frames of a Forgotten Corner
I was just passing by the bicycle parking area today when something made me stop. Maybe it was the soft light slipping through the gaps, or the way it landed on the bike seats and plastic baskets. Whatever it was, I suddenly felt the urge to take a few photos before the moment disappeared.

I focused on the small details, the worn-out seats, the scratched metal racks, the empty baskets waiting to be filled with groceries or random everyday things. In real life, the scene looked quite ordinary, just a corner full of parked bicycles. But once I converted the images into black and white, everything changed.
The black and white effect added a nostalgic feeling. It creates the illusion that many years have already passed by, as if these bicycles have been quietly witnessing countless stories, people rushing home, kids being picked up from school, late night rides after work. It also gives a sense of heaviness and a bit of quiet despair, like a scene from an old film where time moves slowly and no one is really in a hurry.
What I like is how different the photos look compared to the actual place. The simple bicycle parking area suddenly turned into a movie set from a long time ago, with its own mood and character.
I enjoy this kind of atmosphere in a photograph. It might not be everyone’s style, but to me it makes the images feel more unique and personal, like they belong to a story that has not been fully told yet.
Thank you for viewing my post.
