Iddhi Powers in Buddhism
Good day Dear Hive Community, first of all I would like to wish you all a pleasant day and hope you were able to have one or the other positive experience! In my new post, I would like to write about an interesting and unqiue topic and hope you can learn something new.
Here you can see two different works of art which both present Buddha and in the past I have already gone into it more and if you are interested in this part of the culture, here is my contribution. Today I would like to go into an interesting topic from Buddhism that one or the other may have heard before and is known as Iddhi. Iddhi is a part of the Buddhist teachings that deals with the supernatural questions and also describes a number of supernatural powers and the higher self. I have already dealt with a similar topic in the past with minerals and psychic abilities and if you are interested in the whole thing, you will find my contribution here.
Back to Iddhi, which can also be called a spiritual practice, which can be obtained through for example, meditation and enlightenment. According to tradition, there are four basic principles of mental forces such as concentration on intention, consciousness, investigation and effort. When it comes to the different abilities, there are different traditions and it includes for example, the power of transformation, duplication, making oneself invisible, flying, touching the sun or the moon with the hands, walking on the water and other supernatural powers.
Basically, it is a part of Buddhist mythology that deals with the topics on the edge of science, which can also often be referred to as forces that go beyond physical reality. In addition to meditation, important parts of development include yoga as well as spiritual development or awakened thinking. I think it is definitely a very interesting part of Buddhist teaching, which of course is also very much related to the part of enlightenment.
