Greetings Dear Readers;

.
Hope you are well and enjoying the weather wherever you are.
.
Let's take a look at this Principle...'True Freedom, the right to fail, the right to succeed.'

At first glance this principle seems simple enough....everyone should have the right to fail and also have the right to succeed.....resulting in trying different things in order to see what works for them.

Let's look at 'the right to fail'. There are those who are not really interested in success (as some see success) at anything in particular....really just desiring to coast through life...being able to live from day to day the way they wish. Should not they be able to do as they wish even if it is seen as a failure according to society's norms and standards?

How about 'the right to succeed. There are those who are interested in everything life has to offer and then some. Should they not be able to pursue what seems to them the peak of life?

The answer should be 'Yes' to both those queries. We should be able to pursue what suits our abilities and capabilities as long as we are not committing crimes, of course. Yet, there are those who spend the better part of their time, even their entire lives trying to make sure that people are hemmed into a very narrow way of life....neither too successful nor a failure.

Let's give this Principle a think....shall we.

Wishing you and yours all the best....God's best!
.
'All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned everyone to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on Him (Jesus Christ) the iniquity (sin) of us all.' Isaiah 53.6

It is faith alone in Christ alone for eternal life.
.
Thank you for dropping by today. ^__^

Kind Regards,

Details regarding the 'Icing' (Original Work: Photographs and Painting);

Bleujay used an iPad Pro to take photographs at the seaside, the photographs were edited using the iPad's edit features.

This representational painting of a sunflower was a pleasure to paint and hopefully communicates a 'Bon Voyage' to the Summer Season. The Watercolour painting has been presented previously and differently.

Thank you for your interest. ^__^

Wow!... Today I was absorbed and amazed by those photos of the beach shore! 🔟📷!... You can almost feel the sun and hear the waves when looking at them, they are beautiful!... Awww, but when reading your written lines, that seemed so good to read, especially because I have always thought that way, I believe that the "standard of achievements and successes" in people's lives is something very particular in each one, and yes, the important thing is not to harm others, but to respect our own path in the most correct and kind way possible!... Excellent post as always, and beautiful watercolor work as an exquisite culmination!... Thank you very much for sharing, have a happy and blessed weekend with your dear people friend!

Came here for the photos, stayed for the words and the artwork.

of course this topic can be extrapolated into a lot more nuance and everything will get complicated, and real. There will be a question of virtue, responsibility and obligation... there will be a question of 'how'... it will get out of hand... but its a good thought starter.

Such a beautiful place for a photo. I love how you caught the ocean "sprays" as the waves crashed on the shore in the first photo. That is a really fun catch.

Your sunflower painting is really nice as well.

I do think we should have the right to live in either manner that pleases us the most as long as the ones who choose to cruise are at least doing enough to support their own life and not expecting others to pay for it. :)

We are not the same and we don't get the same pleasures or feelings of a rewarding life from the same things. Wouldn't the world be boring if we were all the same??

I enjoy your posts.

Greetings Jacey,

What a lovely comment....thank you for your kind complimentary words and wise response to the Principle.

So true....no cruising courtesy of other people's money...OPM...as the great Margaret Thatcher would say. ^__^

Indeed...it would be...who wants to live a cookie cutter existence ....not Bleujay.

Happy to hear you enjoy the posts. ^__^

Kindest Regards,

What a great truth you've brought today :-) It is absolutely true, and failure or success is in our bag of choices to make.

I hope you're having a wonderful weekend. The peeps say hello, though we are a few less peeps now as some of the 'gentlemen' have matured and gone off to camp.

Kindest regards,

Tammy

I appreciate your explanation concerning the right to fail, @bleujay ... and I might add another possible one: yes, there is the right to succeed, but often it is necessary to take a certain risk if you want to reach your aims/dreams in life. That risk means that one also should be ready to accept (temporary) failure! Only if you don't try out new things and never dare to step into uncertain terrain you might never fail, but at the same time you also will not really succeed...

The photography of the coast ist stunning and your watercolor painting amazingly beautiful!

Looks like a lovely place to getaway from civilization to reset, and take in the local beauty, natural rhythm of the surf and take out my Metal detector and perhaps find some pirate loose change.

Greetings friend, both to you and your entire family. As for your reflection, for me true freedom is being able to choose, no matter if it is the right or wrong decision, because that is what life is about: learning, and when we make mistakes, we learn to correct that error in our decision.

I really appreciate this reflection... the way you framed freedom as both the right to fail and the right to succeed feels very liberating. 🌿 It’s a good reminder that true freedom means living authentically, not just fitting into what society dictates.

Have a great sunday @bleujay!
