Monochrome photo for every day my personal photo challenge - 01/05/2024 - Issue - No.116 + a modest competition for everyone who wants to share a monochrome photograph.
When we see the leaves of a tree eaten away by caterpillars or other leaf beetles, as a rule, we only think about the damage that these voracious creatures caused to the tree and, in part, this is true.
For me this is a challenge, but for you, it can be a simple and easy read, or it can become a competition which you can read about below.
I said that this is only partly true and it is I offer an alternative view on this problem lol.
It can be funny and not without some truth.
So what were you taught from childhood?
That's right you were taught to protect the weak and stand up for them.
And who is the weakest in a dense forest in which old mighty trees grow?
And here you were right the weakest are the young shoots of trees shrubs and grasses; they constantly lack sunlight which does not reach the soil surface, being blocked by the powerful foliage of mature trees.
Now remember what a caring gardener does.
He cuts down weeds so that crops receive more light and nutrients.
No one calls a gardener a pest but when it comes to weeds that didn’t choose where to grow, he is.
If we compare the gardener and the protection of the weak and in this light think about caterpillars then thanks to the holes in the leaves of the trees that pests have gnawed weak plants will receive more light and will have the opportunity to grow stronger and gain strength.
This is a humorous alternative to the usual mouth but it may be similar to the truth.

This should be any monochrome photographic work; it does not necessarily have to be black and white, sepia and other variations are welcome, and it can also be monochrome photo collages.

Here's my monochrome photo of the day! This is a tropical fruit called Rollinia, and here we have an unripe specimen, monochromized! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
I’ve definitely never seen this fruit before, even in photographs, very interesting. I googled and see that in our area they sell the seeds of this fast-growing plant but I’m not sure that anyone here is familiar with the taste of these fruits and the sound of the berimbau musical instrument which I had also never heard before and thought that it was a ukulele it is the main musical instrument of the Hawaiian archipelago.
This fruit looks great in monochrome, looks mysterious and a little scary. 👀😃👍🐎
