And now for our daily shots, here's two young blokes lean casually against a metal barrier. They're standing on the edge of a busy highway where vhicles pass by in a blur and noise. People flow past them like a river with each lost in their own world. The two dude waiting, patient and eager for something only they know. Their posture was relaxed but their eyes are alert.

Here is an old lady walking along the pavement with her blue umbrella shielding her from the sun's relentless heat. She holds a water bottle for her thirst in the heat. Following closely behind is another elderly woman with her arms holding on to plastic bags with hands full and struggling with the weight. Her face is a map of lines which is a silent protest against the oppressive heat of the sun.

Next stop at one of Burnham Park's bike rental stalls where a man in his 50s. His eyes scan the mostly empty park, hoping to spot potential customers to rent his ride. Rows of bikes, shiny and old, stand idle. The park which is usually a bustling hive of activity this time was quiet at this hour. The owner's expression is one of patient hope for passersby to rent one of his many bikes.

Lastly was this big boat that cuts through the calm waters of Burnham Park lake where a big family rowing with their faces a mix of determination and joy. They're headed for the lake's center, leaving behind the empty boats lined up at the shore. The sun sparkles on the water's surface, casting a golden glow over the scene. Despite the early hour but soon more tourists will flock to the city and will be filling those boats with laughter and life.
