Missing The PhotoChain Challenge In Hive

Have you ever participated in the PhotoChain Challenge? Oh how I wish someone would pick up from where the previous host left off and start a new one. I have been missing this Challenge since it ended, quite abruptly I might say so. But what is the PhotoChain Challenge all about, for those who do not know?

Well it's a photography contest that requires participants to enter a picture that contains two keywords or subjects determined at the start of each round. After posting the entry, each participant is required to nominate a personal Keyword which could be any object or color found in the picture they submitted. Every week there are 2 winners and their personal keyword will be the two keywords to be followed in the next Round.

A bit confusing? Let me give you guys an example. Let's presume that the two keywords for this week are:

CIRCLE by Winner 1

and

RING by Winner 2

As a participant I have to enter a photo that contains both CIRCLE and RING and then add a third keyword, my personal keyword, which could be anything found in my photo. I have a few photos in my archives to choose from. Here's the first.

Both the keywords are shown in the photo above. Circle is represented by the gemstone which is round and almost a perfect circle. Ring is the gold heart-shaped band. Now I have to add a personal keyword, anything found in the photo. For this one I can make GEM as my keyword. If I win, meaning my photo is chosen as one of two winners, then one of the keywords for the next round will be GEM.

Here's another one.

In the picture above someone is either putting in or taking out a cellphone from the handbag. The ring and circle can be both seen - the index finger has a ring on and the camera lenses and flashlight are all inside the circled area at the back of the cellphone. For this photo I can choose HANDBAG as my personal keyword.

There are a few more photos which I have and they all have both subjects or keywords in them.

1000000059.jpg
The same ring as the very first photo above but with a different background. I can choose either YARN or GEM as my personal keyword.

How about this?

1000000058.jpg
This time the ring is inside the box and there is a white circle at the left side of the photo which contains the material used in polishing gemstones. My personal keyword can be BEADS found in the rosary beside the ring.

Cool, isn't it?

Well I just wanted to do this post as I am terribly missing the creative challenge of the contest. I hope you enjoyed it. Perhaps, one day, the previous host can consider a return? Looking forward.

(All photos are from my family archives.)

I miss that contest very much too! Why don't you start up the challenge! You can use the FeelGood Community and I'd be happy to donate POINTS for prizes. I don't think @davidesimoncini would mind and maybe we could talk him into helping manage the contest.

At the moment, I launched it on Blurt and Steemit, but the situation with Hivewatchers and the other users here on Hive remains the same, so I don't know when or if the contest can re-start here. Many thanks to you Melinda, and a big, big thank you @gems.and.cookies for your post, it's a nice promotional post 😁

I am not faithful about checking in on Blurt, but certainly wish you huge success there!

Thank you very much Melinda, I hope the same for you with your Shadow Hunter contest and all your life in general 😁

Oh I don't know what happened but I kinda know what you mean. Hive can be a toxic place at times.

Simply, many whales choice a policy I refused. This way entailed a situation in which I would have suffered relevant damage, versus another one in which everyone could suffer minimal damage (including me). Their choice was to force me to follow that way (avoiding solving the real problem, which is a big problem of all the blockchain-based blogs), and I didn't want to do it.
So, they began downvoting me, taking to zero the value of all the posts I published. I wrote them on Discord and here on Hive and contacted several times the various Hive interfaces indicated email, but they didn't stop, giving a choice only: follow their policy, in one way or in another. So, I had to stop posting.
This is the story, in short. For them, refusing a policy that create me a bigger damage than the smaller one created to everyone without following their rules makes me a fraud man, as some of them called me.

Yeah I can relate. It's like they're the only right people on this platform and nobody can say anything otherwise. Lol. This is why members leave and don't care abt Hive at all.

Unluckily, nothing else can be done. The situation is what it is 😔

That's a very tempting suggestion but not possible at the moment. I have too much on my hands right now that it's a struggle to do even just 3 posts a week. I may consider this when my schedule clears up and allow me to spend more time with Hive. I will definitely give you a heads up when that time comes. Thanks for your even considering me to host such a challenging contest 😊

Kasama yung medal sa rosary. Gawa ng anak ko, si Jacinta. She sells rosaries, pearl accessories and pati yung ring sa photo siya din ang gumawa. She has a FB page about her rosaries. Check mo. Tesori Pearls dvo ph ang name. She ships anywhere in the Philippines.
