#739 - Sagada shots for Saturday.
Greetings on a Saturday evening dear fellow Hiveans. I am back in the province and just had a hard massage from my uncle who is familiar with this alternative healing. He has lots of patients back in Mountain province where they live and most are those with dislocated bones in any part of the body he can put it back without any issues. They came here once again fo visit mother who has recovered pretty well in just a matter of weeks. My relatives will be going home tomorrow and they are having some beer tonight as well.
For our shots tonight we got here scenes captured when we were in this rice terraces they call Piolisan rice terraces. The farms were already harvested and just like in Batad they also only harvest once a year because of the weather. According to our guide some farmers tried to plant several tries throughout the year but the fruits are not doing well and just like having with incomplete bran just the husk. The weather was on our side that day when we visited which was before the folding of the year. With some white clouds coming out every now and then, our walk was not purely exposed to the heat of the sun thanks to those clouds.
Then next to the rice terraces that we saw earlier, on our way to the waterfalls there's also a small hanging bridge going to the opposite side of another mountain. The bridge was installed so that the locals no longer need to go over the river below it. The river has lots of large rocks making the travel to the other mountain consume time so that's the reason this bridge exist today. It also serves as a atop over for tourists like us to take photos as remembrance of the journey going to this remote village. Here are some of the photos of me and my wife while doing some pose.
These are some of the stones and rocks example that the locals have to pass if the hanging bridge was not installed or before it was built they have to go through this kind of path leading to the other mountain. Those cables you see above are carrying water. They have abundance of water from the mountains here and these cables carrying water is the mode of transportation for the water going to the villages.
In the town proper every Saturday is their market day and this is one of the view that we saw when we also went there. We bought some of the veggies they sold and also corn that were ready to eat.
Follow me on my nature travels.
