🙌🏽🌻Sublime Sunday🙌🏽💖 by @c0ff33a - The Kathmandu Durbar Square
The Kathmandu Durbar Square is one of the most significant places in the city to visit. It is one of the main tourist spots. It has a lot of historical as well as cultural significance. In the olden times the kings ruled from this place. Their coronation ceremonies took place in this square and from here they would move around the city. The buildings here are really very old and you will see fine architectural designs. Almost every lane in this square has a temple and most of them are still visited by the local people regularly.
There have been several earthquakes that have happened in this place and a lot of damage also has taken place but quite a lot of it has been restored and now it is also the Unesco World Heritage Site.
There is nothing much to see here except for these old buildings, but if you look at it closely you will see good art work on each one of them and not only that, looking at it you know there is so much history behind it and once upon a time it must have been a very grand place. A lot of it is now in ruins.
In the olden times when they wanted to send some messages these bells were a way of communication.
