Let's talk about Carolina Panther

I want to share a little about the "personality" of my beloved Carolina Panther, my cat...

Today, she is already 4 years old, almost 5 and she is the only pet, because last year, unfortunately my dog, Duke Tommy, passed away.

What Pantera loves most is sleeping. He sleeps during the day and plays at night. He only likes to eat catnip, and we're trying to vary his diet because it's not good for him to eat only that.

She also likes to play, and she still has this habit of jumping on my legs to bite me. I bought her some toys, such as a mouse and a fishing pole with a ball on the end, and although she likes them and plays with them, she still jumps on me to bite me.

She tends to jump on my bed as soon as my alarm goes off. She's sort of like a secondary alarm clock. Sometimes, when she gets hungry in the middle of the night, she'll jump on the bed and meow very close to my ear to get me to wake up and give her some food.

Sometimes, for work reasons, I have to travel and when I'm away from home for a long time, when I come back she tends to ignore me (for a few hours), then she gets over it and we carry on as if nothing happened.

She loves to sleep near me and I learned to “love her without grabbing her.” I think that has been key in my relationship with her.

She lies down close and occasionally comes closer for me to pet her, then moves away a little and lies down.

I think that's a good lesson that cats teach us: Love, respecting space.
