The Thai Festival over the Weekend
The Local Fairs and Markets season is beginning in the city. The first one was over the weekend and it was a big affair compared to the last 3 years. Now that there is no more Covid or that it has become a regular affair everyone wants to focus on growing their work and business. The first of the season was the Thai Festival, representing the Thai Culture. There was variety of Thai foods and products available. I must say it was a very good show and the people attended it in large numbers.
I was not aware of the festival. I had a busy Friday morning so I was looking to spend some relax time in the evening, then a friend of mine suggested that it was the last day of the market so we should go. Good that we went, It was a lively affair and I also like Thai food, so I could fill my appetite with some of my favorite foods.
A pose to show that I was here....hehehe
And then she said she could join me for the picture, I was more then happy :-)
There was some hospital promotion also going on, not very keen on that part, but good to know
This is of my interest, Natural medicines
A variety of fragrances and oils were available. The other good thing was that all the products were reasonably priced. Else there are some markets where they heavily charge.
I bought one of the oils for my diffuser. Their Citronella is more of a Lemongrass fragrance
Some fun activity for children too. I wonder which artist did this....hahaha
Some Thai fruit juices
There were some Airline lucky draws. Salaam Air is the low cost airline of Oman
These fruits cutouts were attractive
I had seen this fruit in my local market but never had it, was wondering how it would be. Here they were offering for tasting. I tried one, it taste like a Lychee, and I liked it.
Different types of Thai Teas
A variety of Thai food was available
Looking at this my hubby said, your counter has come...hehehe. It's a green healthy counter :-)
This is a famous restaurant in the city and their Thai cuisine is delicious. We decided to have something from here
And we ended up having this Turkey Roast with sticky Jasmine Rice and some Thai Sauces with it. It was delicious.
I bought this mix for the Thai curry. It is difficult to find Kaafir Leaves and Galangal here in te super markets, and if it is available it's very expensive. They were selling here at a reasonable price so it was worth the pick
And some more fancy makes
Good that I decided to visit the market, it was nice to see so many new Thai products and just soak into the vibrant energy of the place
Hope you all enjoyed this Thai Festival Market Pictures
Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸

You seem to have enjoyed every moment of this Thai festival. The food was good?
It was a good evening @cryptosnowball
Your festival is really fabulous. Good thing you attended the market before the festival is over. I think it's like a fair, yes? I love the display of fine products, especially the fruits cutouts. And the teas. I like tea 😁. The packaging are neat.
Cool pictures. 😃 Thanks for sharing

I really did! There were enough Thai goods to keep me for at least a week! Kidding! I am so glad you went, I have actually never been to one here, most are on the West Coast in California or out that way or in Louisiana. I live vicariously through #MarketFriday until I can travel again.
I loved all of the booths and the fruit cutouts were gorgeous! Wouldn't I love to be able to serve something as beautiful as that? So many fruits and greens. It was truly like being in Thailand!
How lucky were you? Can you freeze or dry Kaafir leaves?
Thank you for putting up such an awesome #MarketFriday and taking us along! I like the green counter too!
Thank you for participating in #MarketFriday! I appreciate the time and effort that goes into putting a post together for the challenge. It is with great pleasure that I read through and realize how much we have all tried to include things in our world that may be unique to the area. I have learned so much about the different cultures of the world, especially the small things that go unnoticed except by those looking for them. Life is interesting, wherever you are, whatever you are doing. I hope the week has found you healthy and happy, as we all look to prosper in our way of life.
