As anyone can see, I am still wandering the fields of sunflowers. Alas, they are almost finished, although technically they won't be truly over for a few more weeks. The farm will be closing down as the majority have peaked all of their prettiness. People will only pay for the very best, can you blame them?

It will be sad to see them go, but, the silver lining to all of this is that they will be back. So, it won't be tomorrow, but, it won't be forever either.

Starting immediately, #MarketFriday will be paused for a period of time. I want to thank you for your support along the way and I look forward to seeing you back when I resume the posting concept.


#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, and eventually branched out and evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact that these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world.

Your sunflower photos are always cheery, but photo 4.... just Wow ! Love how the sun is coming in behind the petals, lighting them up and throwing little shadows at the base of them.

Everybody deserves a pause now and then. I hope it is just because you want too and/or your life will be full of fun cruises and the such.

It's Friday morning, the best day of the workweek. I told Lexa to start the coffee and I hear the drip pot finishing in the kitchen. Yes, the day will be full of phone calls that are not my fav, but the promise of the weekend starting soon will pull me through.

It is because I want to for just a bit, between work, family, and real life... well, it doesn't leave much time to just be. :) I won't go on a cruise until the extreme heat goes away.

Friday is my fun day... Wait! That is Sunday, right? My I-don't-have-to -run-day?

Honestly, I could never even imagine how much time you dedicated to this whole Market Friday thing with so many entries in every round and so much engagement around it. I run some regular initiatives myself and even though they are incomparably less time consuming than Market Friday, I still struggle to keep them alive sometimes. And I´m not even speaking about your comments left under other people´s posts and replies to comments under your own posts... The amount of time and energy that you have spent on Hive is simply incredible. This will never be forgotten Denise. Take as much time for yourself as you need. We will be here :)

That is so sweet of you! Honestly, I never even thought of that. I run it with only me and vote on my own nickel, so I would never ask anyone else to do that. But, only a couple of people did one this week as I said I was pausing.

I am sure it is because they don't read my posts. :) It is difficult when English is not even your third language. I would be hard-pressed to translate everything I do on here, so I understand.

How are you doing?

I do hope you’re very well with excellent health.
Things are changing faster than I could imagine. And I am still lethargic in this phase. Psychological aspect is too baffling for me to find out what invisible energies are playing tricks on my mind.

Knowing too much, yet too little about things caused me some confusion.

Hope you’ll be able to move to a safe place where you would want to live peacefully in the near future.

Yeah. I do miss her a lot. She was always very generous and kind. She helped and encouraged many people to continue writing their stories. There were always many colorful posts in this community too.
