Christmas Shoping Center Impressions

(Edited)

( EN / DE ) Today I finally had time to go and search for my Secret Santa gift and so I went to one of the big shopping centers in Graz.
I still had in mind that there was a very large bookstore there, which I actually wanted to visit, but it looks like this has closed. It is such a trend of our time, it seems, that bookstores are getting smaller and smaller and fewer and fewer?

But at least there is still a small one and I was really lucky, because the right book gift for my Secret Santa I found there! Unfortunately, I can not show photos, because the german-speaking Secreat Santa is - of course - a secret. No one knows what he gets from whom, until the package is on the doorstep.

Then of course I still needed a nice billet and a Secret Santa worthy wrapping paper!

Of course, there would have been much more nice things to buy, especially for the decoration of Christmas trees flashing and glittering everywhere.

The center itself is also very generously decorated, of course, and the oversized teddy bears make children's eyes light up.

In general I was very surprised, because for a Friday afternoon 8 days before Christmas it was very quiet, I would have expected much more people, as I know it from before.

But since I had walked all three floors in search of the bookstore, I was so tired that I would have preferred to lie down on this bench right away.

So I was glad to finally arrive home. Gingerbread and I also bought organic Styrian Christmas apples. All in all, a complete success!
Alles in allem also ein voller Erfolg!

This was my #marketfriday post for @dswigle , about my search for the Secret Santa gift I will send out to Germany tomorrow.

beebers crazy advents calendar - day 16

Until Christmas I will choose one daily winner from the comments on my advents calendar post of the previous day. (8pm CET the next day after the posting day) The one comment that I love the most, that makes me smile, that was very interesting or whatever pleases a woman like me at that moment ;-)

There have been 8 comments on day 15 from:
@melinda010100 @irisworld @ekavieka @treefrognada @ynwa.andree @reiseamateur @karizma @mypathtofire

This time it was not easy to choose only one of you. So I decided, the first one who told me he is looking foreward to all the posts I will make out of the museum voucheurs and this was @ekavieka 1 HSBI and 100 ecency points will be sent soon.

**This was December 16 and you have roundabout 20 hours time to leave a comment to participate :-) Yours, B.

Surprise presents are always the best especially if they come from Santa. I love that pug in the Christmas sweater along with the big cat wrapped up in lights haha

I've noticed bookstores are becoming more rare these days too. I've become somewhat addicted to my e-reader over the years. These things are magic if you think about it. An ever changing book that can become anything. I still read the traditional hardbacks once in awhile but they can get really heavy, especially those huge ones.

Merry Christmas, I know the recipient of this secret gift will be pleased.

That is such a fun way of awarding prizes. :)

I love the big teddy bear. I will bet every kid loves it, and adults too. Those sweet gingerbread cookies... Hmmmmm! I bought some at the store that sells German and French groceries! Success!

So disappointing to lose so many bookstores. I have a couple I love, but, all the major ones are disappearing fast!I agree, there are some books I just want to feel the binding in my hands.

You have a great time and isn't that bench so pretty? Fancy!!!

Hello! Hello! Market Friday is running so late this week, I apologize for the delay in answering and I hope you know how much I appreciate the great participation.

I try to let people know how much I appreciate their participation in #MarketFriday! Even though I get many on a weekly basis, each one is read and enjoyed. I enjoy learning about the world and how it is to live in your corner of it, and if there are solutions to making it better in any way. I find it interesting to compare, not by the world's standards, but, by how we find the quality of our life with different indicators than the world does. It is not always about the wealth in money, sometimes money means very little when there is no value behind it. You cannot buy health although you can take care of what you have. Being educated isn't always about schooling, but acquiring knowledge and using it for the better good and happiness of the society you are living in. It is with great pleasure that I read through this and all of the posts, with these thoughts in mind.

Don't miss the small things in your life, they usually make no noise but can be indicators of bigger things. I enjoy learning more about you and hope you feel the same, that is why I find it important to take the time to read a couple of #MarketFriday posts and leave a genuine comment. It is important for a community to do this, learning about others, and getting to know each other. The fun is in getting to know people and making a positive contribution to community life. All this fun and money too. What is not to love? That is one of the reasons I joined Hive. How about you? :) I leave you with the guidelines. I hope you are having an amazing week!

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:

Rules of the Road to Join #MarketFriday!

  1. Go to the market, or anywhere that you pay money for a service. It can be a movie, an auction, or even a museum. Wherever money is exchanged for a service or product.
    Take pictures! Be creative!
  2. Tell us a little bit about the market or the event. What brought you there? What did you buy? How much did it cost? Was it expensive? Did it go up or down? A scroll of pictures with few words doesn't usually work.
  3. Post the pictures. Of course, you should tell a little bit about the ones you post, it is too difficult to guess about some.
  4. Use the MarketFriday Community Platform to post (#hive-196308) This is not required but appreciated.
PLEASE Drop the link into the MarketFriday comment section so I can find it!!
  5. Following me and reblogging the post would be appreciated, but not a rule, more vision for more views on the #MarketFriday posts!
    7. You must put #MarketFriday by @dswigle somewhere on your post.

As always, please remember! #MarketFriday loves you!
