AI Editing Apps? What? Facetune is Cheating
I am mind blown
And I don't even know what group to post this in lol...
A few weeks ago I posted a blog post on my personal / photography business website. Trusty Facebook had displayed a comment made by another local photographer, who admitted that she used Facetune to edit her "professional" photos.. and I have already suspected this photographer to be watching my every move and trying to copy me and derail my business anyways...
So here I was writing this post about how Facetune and other similar editing apps were non professional. And not sorry but I am correct, it not only degrades the image upon saving but it also says hey I haven't invested in my craft enough to learn professional editing tools so I really am not professional.. My post gave clear step by steps on why it's frowned upon.
A few days later that photographer actually had the audacity to message me about my blog post on my website.. Uh? Stalker much? Like it's not even social media... It's not a place to visit religiously, I hardly ever update it...
Anywho, she proceeds to tell me she doesn't agree with my blog post and that not everyone can learn and easily maneuver Photoshop.. Well how is that my fault or the countless others who have successfully.
I spent countless hours and money learning my craft with ease. I can say I am a professional because I use professional tools. I just don't click random buttons. I learned to smooth skin and take out flaws and to color grade and all of the above.
This image above is edited with Facetune. I did this for a comparison for my blog post. It doesn't look real. It looks fake. But yet this is a real photo I took of a real person.
This image is edited in LR.. It has a more natural feel to it and doesn't make her look like a cartoon!!!!
Overall Moral Though
SHE STALKS ME.. EXTREMELY CONFIRMED.. 😭😭😭
Yeah I dislike the crazy focus on the AI apps for photo editing. We had some photos taken professionally (or sort of professional to be honest lol) and the person must’ve run the photos through something like that. We hated them and thankfully we didn’t pay for them because they were part of a promo thing.
As such though, people are always looking for a faster or easier way to do things and it’s annoying.
its cute for personal images such as selfies etc but when you charge someone for a photo session in the hundreds of dollars range you should expect as such for the outcome....
i bet if her "customers" knew that's how she edits then they wouldn't be customers!!!
