Final Stretch - Cannabis Update

Hello Everyone,

We're in the final stretch here with the cannabis plants.

Let's get right into the photos.

I performed some light defoliation on the end plants, which are Miracle Mack's. The beefy looking girls in the center are Big Mack Superstar.

I have some seedlings just starting and are the same strain as the girls in the big tent.

I also have a Green Crack that's been a little deformed in early growth but she's starting to come around. This one is an Auto-flowering strain.

Unknown Strain

I had two small unknown strains that came out really pretty, key word "had" because I decided to harvest them today. They could have gone a little longer but I'm itching for something to smoke so I decided not to wait any longer.

Wait that's not a cannabis plant!

I decided to squeeze my pepper plant into the post. It's squeezed into the back of the tent and has so many peppers growing that it's pointless to even try to count them.

If you look close you can see them growing everywhere, even at the base of the plant!

All I did was rub my fingers from flower to flower to ensure male flowers pollinated female flowers. The result was a huge success. This is my biggest pepper bloom to date.

The plant above is a Cayenne pepper plant.

With only a couple more weeks to go, this has turned out to be my best grow ever.

It's taken a few years to get to a point where I feel like I really comprehend everything that is going on with the plants and I feel like I can now produce good quality cannabis consistently.

It's certainly not easy growing cannabis plants indoors, but I believe anyone can do it if they have a passion for it and are willing to apply themselves while being ok with making mistakes along the way.

What do you all think of how my cannabis plants are looking?

I would love to read your thoughts in the comment section!

Thank you for stopping by,

Have a great day! -@futuremind

Seriously the red veins means that you are still not using enough nutrients for flowering!

Cannabis is an extremely high nutrient need plant which is kind of hilarious because it can grow in the same field for years producing nice big fat nugs without any fertilizer.

You are definitely getting a lot closer! Beautiful buds!

Thank you man!

I recently read up on the red veins because the Miracle Mack's have veins so red they look like blood.

What I read suggests that some strains and different phenos will carry forth the red vein trait regardless of stored nutrients.

Considering the Miracle Mack's have dropped very little and maintain very dark green foliage, it might be an indicator that they're loaded up on nutes like you're suggesting.

I definitely fed them pretty good throughout their life cycle and am letting them use up what's left over the next couple of weeks.

Will probably not use up all the stored nutrients but that's alright :)

Start running tests! Lol

That's about the best thing ever when you're running through a very specific phenotype by clone.

You can literally test different fertilizer combinations and see which ones the plant really prefers or if it's more of a genetic trait.

Either way they are still happy healthy and looking good!

The peppers!!! I am jealous!!

My favorite shot is the one of you, looking so pleased. That makes me very happy.

I've watched you put this whole operation together for a couple (maybe a few?) years now, and it's very impressive. You've really refined your methods, and are taking phenomenally good care of your plants.

The peppers are certainly a sight to behold. It's been some trial and error with that plant too, and is the only Cayenne pepper plant I've ever grown!

I don't think many people here have maintained as watchful an eye over my progress with cannabis cultivation as you have, and it means a lot to me to receive a compliment like this because not many know what this kind of work entails except for the kindred souls who also have these abilities, like yourself <3

Thanks so much for all of your kind words and support over these years @owasco!

Oh I could never do what you do here. I plant whatever I want, and if I can't get it to do well after a few feeble tries, I abandon that plant and never plant it again. You get into the science of it. I tried cannabis once. Never again. It was harder than caring for a newborn baby. They are your babies.

They are indeed my babies and I really give it my all.
I can't wait for you to try this weed.
I should make some kind of edible to hook you up with as well. (if you like edible cannabis effects)
I process it by way of crockpot. Butter and water method, works like a charm.

I wonder if that would work for a peach tree!?

I can't believe how technical all of this is. I'm not much of an horticulturalist - I've got a few natives in my front yard and a lemon tree (that I managed to kill), and a peach tree in the back yard. I chose the natives, because I figured they would be the most difficult for my very non-green thumb to destroy, but your set up is way more complex than the water I pile on my plants.
I tip my hat to you for having the patience to understand how to actually care for plants and nurture them to maturity. As my peach tree starts producing fruit (got one last year - mainly because I was too lazy to cover it to protect it from birds) I'm beginning to understand the pride that comes from cultivating something yourself.

Excuse my naivety, but do your plants grow year round, or do you have to make do with one harvest a year and replant every season? Is that why there are so many varieties - so you can have yield 365 days a year, or are they just for different flavour, etc?
