Aceh Valley in the XXII Mukim Panglima Polem Region

The valley landscape is surrounded by the Barisan Mountain range, located in the Lembah Seulawah sub-district, Aceh Besar Regency. Historical records claim that in the period before Indonesia gained independence or in antiquity, the landscape was known as the Aceh Valley in the Sagoe XXII Mukim Panglima Polem region.

The beautiful view of the valley is used by the community for traditionally cultivated rice fields and plantations. There are some old coconut trees on the plantation site, that appear to have been poorly cultivated. There, agricultural and plantation regions are managed in a way that reflects the past. Therefore, I'm adding the location to my list of documentary film locations for later this year.

You can enjoy the tropical nature scenery there while enjoying a fresh drink of sugarcane juice, which is sold in roadside huts in the Seulimum highlands across the Banda Aceh-Sigli route. These relaxing huts were built by the local community to serve riders unwinding from the journey. Two glasses of sugarcane juice and a plate of noodles accompany me to enjoy the view there.
