MADEIRA, Day 7, Hiking

Today we wanted to climb one of the highest peaks on the island, "Pico Areeiro".

About 1800m high in an almost lunar landscape if it weren't for the fact that only about 100m below everything is lush vegetation.

Also, it has been a good moment because down on the coast it was very cloudy so it was not the ideal day to go to the beach.

Afterwards we have entered the Cameronesian forest, a landscape that seems to come out of a movie like "Jumanji" or "Jurasic Park", in fact I am sure that many movies of the style must have been filmed here.

In short, a day of mountain hiking just 3 linear km from the coast.

really the scenery is so incredibly beautiful, I like your last third photo the most with some green trees on the hill and also the clouds above it make this so beautiful

Always wanted to spend a week there! Worth it? Compared to let’s say Menorca?

They are really different. I like both but Menorca perhaps has better beaches. In any case, Madeira is a Paradise

I myself am very fond of going to such special places in the mountains because by going there one sees many natural sights and one gets a lot of peace by going there. Last picture is my favourite in your photography.
