Underground Light Painting

Last night a friend and I took an adventure down into an overflow storm drain, which was nice and dry despite a lot of snow melt. Making it a fun spot to play with long exposure using steel wool and light painting.

I was beyond happy with the steel wool shots!

The light painting shots didn't turn out as I had hoped, but an question I had been asking myself was finally answered. Is a light figure photo be combined with steel wool? Yes it is and now that I know that it can be, I will be working on perfecting it!

Cool idea and execution. The first, fifth and last photo speaks to me the most. Great, congratulations.

Yeah they all look so supercool!

I would love to have a go at steel wool one day myself.

Did you have help?

Was the green blue one also steel wool and did you just change the colour in post or use a dip or different type of metal?

Hmmm a fibre optic lightening whip.
